After 2 long years Winston (Elder Farr) was finally coming home.
To say we were excited in the Farr home is an understatement.
Days before you would see us running around the house screaming, "WEEEEENSTON'S COMING HOME!!" Over and over and over again.
The day finally arrived. The twins, Harrison, and our neighbor drew a huge welcome home in chalk in the middle of the road, Sophia and I made a huge welcome home sign that we hung over the garage and I made 60 homemade cinnamon rolls for his homecoming that next day. It was a very crazy morning so it ended up going by pretty quickly.
And before we knew it we were in the car headed up to the airport.
Some of us were freaking out so much we were making ourselves sick. (Me and my mother).
We made it to the airport, I nursed Clara quickly and then we walked in to wait.
We put on our welcome home shirts that our neighbors let us borrow and started talking to each other to help pass the time.
My stomach was in knots and I was literally sweating liters because I was so excited.
We sat there staring at the escalators for 45 minutes.
One missionary came down right before and we all vowed that we would cheer louder than this family did when we saw Winston.
So at the first sight of Winston, instead of cheering and screaming we all burst out bawling.
Even him.
We were able to let out a few soft cheers but that was it.
I can't even explain the feeling we all felt seeing him for the first time.
It was wonderful.
We gave our hugs and just could not stop staring.
He was home.
He was finally home.
The waiting.
There he is in his gray suit.
And yes he is bawling too.
Our first family hug.
My mom hugging Winston.
Ahhhh he's home!!!
Me, Clara and Elizabeth.
Olivia held his hand the whole way home.
It was the sweetest.
There is the chalk sign.
I didn't get a picture of the other sign because it was completely shredded.
It had been raining and extremely windy while we gone and it just didn't make it.
Thank goodness the chalk made it.
Elder Farr is home for the first time in 2 years.
We spent a few minutes at home because Winston wanted some pictures around the house with his missionary tag on, and then we headed over to the stake center so that he could be released.
I can't even begin to explain how strong the spirit was and how proud we all were of Winston.
He was able to bear his testimony to us one last time before he was released and it was absolutely incredible. I could hardly believe how much stronger his testimony was versus his testimony 2 years ago. He bore a strong testimony of how important the gospel was to him and how he knew with out a shadow of a doubt that this is the true church and that he will never ever be able to deny that. He said that he was going to personally take it upon himself to look out for each one of us and make sure that we never ever stray, that he would always be there for us. He talked about his love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and how much his mission meant to him.
After he was released we all went to dinner at the pizza pie cafe and then spent the rest of the night lounging in the family room just talking.
It for sure is a day I will never forget.

Winston gave his homecoming talk the next day.
His topic was on a talk given by President Monson on how we are blessed through our obedience.
His talk was amazing and it was so fun to see how much he has grown these two years and how he has really come to know and understand what is most important.
We had the family over for cinnamon rolls and fruit after.
I took Clara upstairs to my mom's room and stayed there until everyone left.
Like always I am a germ freak and did not want Clara to be passed around.
Of course my aunts Tiffany, Annabelle, and my grandpa Brown came up to keep me company.

It was definitely a busy, loud day and Clara couldn't resist taking a little nap in my parent's bed.
Clara was able to meet my grandma Farr.
Her great grandma, who loves her very much.
So sweet.
Welcome home Winston!
We are so proud of you and I'm not going to lie quite glad that it's over!
