Multnomah Falls.

We always drive past Multnomah Falls on the way to Washington and we only ever admired it from afar.
But this time I told Michael no excuses we were stopping!
It is the second tallest waterfall in the country and boy is it breathtaking.
We were able to hike up to the bridge and view it from there as well.
The girls definitely enjoyed the little walk but they especially loved the 6 inch ice-cream cones we got after!

There aren't words to describe it. I just can't believe I live in such a gorgeous place!

The U.S Open practice round.

A dream came true for Michael this week when his uncle gave him and his dad tickets to go to a practice round at the U.S Open at Chambers Bay. He was able to see his all time favorite golfer Tiger Woods and get lots of other autographs from other amazing players! He even managed to get Ricki Fowler to sign his shoe!! But seriously I know it will be a day he will never forget. He later told me that when he saw Tiger Woods walk out he started tearing up ha! But seriously that's how obsessed with Tiger/golf he is!

Yay for golf!
(Well not really cause I hate it but that's for another post!)
And I will add that even though I hate it, it makes me so happy that Michael got to experience this!

Yakima visit.

We had such a fun weekend in Washington with Michael's family.
One of my favorite parts was going to see the new Jurassic Park movie. Oh my gosh, it was so intense. I was literally curled up in a ball on my chair with heart beating so fast it seriously could have popped out of my chest. But seriously, I was practically shaking. It's the good kind of scary though. Not like the evil spirit movies and such.

Here are a few pictures from our week.

The girls absolutely loved playing in their little pool, although Clara was driving me crazy because I could not get her to stop getting out to go grab handfuls of dirt to throw in the pool!

I always request having s'mores while we are up there.
Gotta take advantage of the fire-pit!
But seriously s'mores are my very favorite!

Sno-cone goodness!

We went to lunch at Mod Pizza. It was my very first time eating there and I am obsessed! Their Marionberry lemonade is perfection.

More pool fun!

We went over to the neighbors house and picked these yummy raspberries.
Kelly taught me how to make raspberry jam and it turned out amazing!

Our precious little Olivia.
I mean seriously could she be any more perfect?!
And p.s I am obsessed with her overalls!

Our view of Mt. Hood driving home.

We always have such a fun time when we're with the Mickelson's.
Feeling so grateful for family.

Olivia's spring dance recital.

Olivia has absolutely loved ballet this last year!
Every week her face completely lights up when I tell her it's ballet day!

The recitals are her absolute favorite.
After her recital I was asking her what she thought and she said, "mom, I just love it. When I come out on the stage everybody is smiling at me!"
I mean come on! Could she be any cuter!
She still has a thing for curtseying and makes sure to curtsey after every dance. (Usually multiple times!)

Olivia and her favorite ballet friend Charlotte!
Her cute class!
Getting ready to go out on stage!
I have loved our Wednesday "dates" to ballet every week and look forward to watching her continue to develop her talents!
She's the cutest little ballerina out there, thats forsure!

Zoo day!

The 2nd Tuesday of every month the Portland Zoo is only $4 dollars.
We had been trying to get up there for months, but every time that second Tuesday came around it would be rainy all day!
But thankfully June was nice to us and gave us the perfect sunny day!

You know me and my elephant ears!
This little orangutan was so friendly! The second he saw Olivia he walked up with his lunch and sat right in front of the window. She was thrilled to say the least!

And of course to finish off a fun day we had to stop at my favorite ice-cream shop!
I can't even begin to explain how amazing the cinnamon snicker doodle is!
We sure wore this little one out!

I just have to say that having kids makes everything so much fun!
Michael and I love experiencing all the fun things life has to offer with them. Their facial expressions and pure joy make the hard parts of getting out more than worth it!

Horseback riding.

As usual, when we are in Utah we always make time to stop and ride aunt Sophia's horse!
This time we tried putting Clara on and she was not excited about it, but I'm sure she'll grow to love them just like her aunt and sister!

Cancun. (part 1)

Oh my goodness, where to begin!
My family had been looking forward to this trip since May of 2011. Shortly after our last Cancun trip in 2011, Winston left on his mission, and then Emerson on his making it nearly 4 years until our whole family would be together again. We all made it a goal to go back in 2015 when the whole family was finally together again.
And we did!
I could go on and on about this trip, but I think I'll keep it short and let the pictures tell the story!

Michael and I's room.
The view from our balcony!
Showing Emerson her collection of little seashells!
Our hangout spot at the beach!
We spent all day going from here to the pool, to the drink bar, and to the restaurants.
Michael was all about catching the little critters running around!

The all you can eat ice-cream cones were definitely their favorite!

This a video tour of the main restaurant where we ate the majority of our meals.
There were 4 other speciality restaurants that we ate dinner at a few of the nights!
The resort was pretty big so if we didn't want to walk to eat we could call ahead and they would send a couple golf carts to pick us up!
I mean unlimited food and drinks! Talk about heaven!

There was this little river that ran through the resort that was home to an alligator.
We loved watching him catch all the little fish!
Hanging out waiting for every one to get ready for dinner!
Here we are at our favorite drink bar right on the beach.
The workers became so familiar with us and knew never to put alcohol in our drinks :)

Part 2 below.
