A day on the coast.

The beach.
Everybody has a place that they consider their heaven on Earth.
And for me that place is most definitely the beach.
I have absolutely fallen in love with the Oregon coast.

So one day, we packed up our littles, sunscreen, towels, beach toys, blankets, bottles, binkies, water, chairs, and a lunch and headed to the coast to spend the day.
Notice how I listed off some of what we packed, well that's because I want to remember that packing for a day adventure with 2 littles is no small task. We're talking prepare the night before and then hours the following day.
Good times.
Thankfully it's only an hour away and we were there in no time.
It could not have been a more perfect day and I loved every second of it even the part where I couldn't get Clara to stop eating the sand. Oh and Olivia trying to drink from a random little stream.

Let the sand eating begin.
I promise we feed her enough!

Look at Clara in the back!

Snuggles with my littlest while staring out into the endless ocean was beyond magical.

My view.
Somebody please pinch me!

I'm thankful for beautiful places to visit with this cute little family of mine.
We'll be back soon!

Merry go round and playground fun.

Loving my World Market finds.

You'll probably see a billion pictures of Olivia riding the merry go round because it's pretty much her favorite thing!

We have been and still are in the stage of everything going in the mouth.
That being said, she is enjoying a few strands of grass!

One... two...three...GO!
(I'm not going to lie, getting two littles to look at the camera at the exact same time is no small task.)

Cute Clara.
This happy baby of mine brightens even the darkest of days.

Springtime fun.

Lots of kisses even if it is just to yourself!

Lots of snuggles and naps for this sweet baby.

Story time every night after baths.

Trying to keep two busy babies entertained during what seems like endless days of rain.

Daddy likes to play dress up.

Oh thank goodness for these. Whenever I  needed a little boost I'd pop one of these (maybe 20) in my mouth and instantly feel like a million bucks.
I'm not even kidding, they are that good!

Lots of icecream cones.
Olivia is obsessed with them these days and Clara of course is not complaining!

And lots of playdough playing fun.
She loves to mix all the colors together and then roll them up in to little balls.

And then....
Drumroll please....
Michael is finally finished with his 2nd year of law school!
We celebrated with sparkling cider of course.
I am so proud of all his hard work and am definitely hoping this last year goes by quickly.
Can we be done with school already?!

Happy Easter.

Celebrating holidays with littles has to be the best thing ever.
We have been talking about the Easter bunny coming for months and so when Easter eve finally rolled around I was beyond excited to put together our Easter baskets.
And even more excited to wake up to see the girl's reactions.

Happy Easter to us!
(Clara's looks a little bare ha but I took the picture before I added a couple other things. Don't worry we love her the same!)

Olivia was so excited.
Mostly about her play dough.

Clara was just as excited but mostly because she wanted to eat the grass.

And she seriously tried to.

The girls embarking on the Easter egg hunt!

Michael and I were laughing so hard because we hid like 30 eggs and in pretty visable places.
We thought Olivia would love it and run around gathering all the eggs.
Nope she just grabbed a couple and then would sit down and open them to eat the candy and then get distracted with something else. We tried to tell her there were more and get her excited but she did not seem very interested haha.

After about a half hour of trying to get Olivia to finish the hunt we gave up and just gathered the eggs ourselves.
Olivia disappeared into her room to play with something else. (Not the Easter stuff ha, she seriously has the attention span of a fly.) And little Clara somehow figured out how to open the eggs and sat on the carpet opening them and just shoving those jelly beans in her mouth as fast as those tiny fingers could!
She would have been content sitting there eating and playing with all the grass for hours if we didn't have to get ready for church!

And then for the first time in a very long time she fell asleep in Michael's arms at church!
I was the lucky one who got to snuggle her for most of the time though:)

We were invited by a couple in our ward to to have Easter dinner at their house with the missionaries.
It was so fun and Olivia got another bag of treats and a touch and feel animal book.
Spoiled little girl!
I made these little bunny cupcakes for dessert.

Our little family is so very blessed. We are so grateful for the Savior and for the Atonement so that we can repent and work towards becoming better every single day. We are also so grateful for the knowledge that our little family can be together forever.
Happy Easter!

Pre-Easterness.

Thanks to pinterest I was able to round up a few Easter craft ideas.

We made little peep houses. And even put little eggs under them!
(I'm still working on finding something cute to hatch out of them!)
We also made a cute little marshmallow bunny. Olivia was so good about making sure to put the marshmallows on the line. That's my OCD coming out a little bit:)

Our ward put on a little Easter party/hunt and Olivia kicked butt at the egg gathering part!
They had a little section with seriously hundreds of eggs just for the sunbeams which was nice.

Daddy helped a little bit.
Of course he was interested in making sure she got enough treats for mommy and daddy to share as well.

After the party we had our friends Ken, Pam, and their little boy Hugo over to dye easter eggs.
The littles got to paint their eggs. And us older people worked more with the dye.
We tried dying them with jello which turned out really good except for the pink color ended up turning to actual jello after a while ha.
Whoops! I must have boiled it for too long!

We ended up with two egg explosions while boiling, a few cracked eggs, and paint all over Olivia and the floor.
And I am definitely not artsy by any means and my eggs never turn out how I envision them haha but it was fun and they tasted good anyways :)
