Celebrating holidays with littles has to be the best thing ever.
We have been talking about the Easter bunny coming for months and so when Easter eve finally rolled around I was beyond excited to put together our Easter baskets.
And even more excited to wake up to see the girl's reactions.
Happy Easter to us!
(Clara's looks a little bare ha but I took the picture before I added a couple other things. Don't worry we love her the same!)
Olivia was so excited.
Mostly about her play dough.
Clara was just as excited but mostly because she wanted to eat the grass.
And she seriously tried to.
The girls embarking on the Easter egg hunt!
Michael and I were laughing so hard because we hid like 30 eggs and in pretty visable places.
We thought Olivia would love it and run around gathering all the eggs.
Nope she just grabbed a couple and then would sit down and open them to eat the candy and then get distracted with something else. We tried to tell her there were more and get her excited but she did not seem very interested haha.
After about a half hour of trying to get Olivia to finish the hunt we gave up and just gathered the eggs ourselves.
Olivia disappeared into her room to play with something else. (Not the Easter stuff ha, she seriously has the attention span of a fly.) And little Clara somehow figured out how to open the eggs and sat on the carpet opening them and just shoving those jelly beans in her mouth as fast as those tiny fingers could!
She would have been content sitting there eating and playing with all the grass for hours if we didn't have to get ready for church!
And then for the first time in a very long time she fell asleep in Michael's arms at church!
I was the lucky one who got to snuggle her for most of the time though:)
We were invited by a couple in our ward to to have Easter dinner at their house with the missionaries.
It was so fun and Olivia got another bag of treats and a touch and feel animal book.
Spoiled little girl!
I made these little bunny cupcakes for dessert.
Our little family is so very blessed. We are so grateful for the Savior and for the Atonement so that we can repent and work towards becoming better every single day. We are also so grateful for the knowledge that our little family can be together forever.
Happy Easter!
