Thanksgiving.

We spent Thanksgiving this year in Yakima with the Mickelsons.
We of course had a wonderful and relaxing time.
Most of the pictures were taken by my sister in law Rachel, so thank you!

That's my man:)

Love my girls!

Snuggles after a big Thanksgiving dinner!

Feeding the ducks with dad, Pa, and uncle Stephen!

I sure am thankful for family and for Matthew and his willingness to serve the Lord.
We definitely missed him but couldn't be more proud.

Clara's 6 months.

(Thanks Rachel for this picture!)

Oh goodness little Clara. You really are the CUTEST baby.
We simply can not get enough of you.

Here are a few things about you this month:

You weigh 15 lbs 12.5 ounces (35th percentile).
You are 26 inches tall (47th percentile).
Your little head is 41 cm (14th percentile).

*Well you have definitely passed your sister on the charts this year. Well by passed her I mean you are much bigger than she was at your age. In fact she didn't weigh as much as you until she was almost 10 months old! You chubby little thing!
*A lot has changed this month in the eating department. I have cut back on nursing more. I just can't keep up with you. As hard as it is, I never want you to be hungry. So you have a bottle of formula in the morning when you wake up and then you have one at night with rice cereal before bed. If we are out and about I will give you bottle for those feedings as well just because it is more convenient. But I nurse you mostly during the day and if you wake up at night to eat. We've also introduced you to solid foods. Or the baby food. You seem to LOVE it. Your favorites are bananas and sweet potatoes but you will eat any of the fruits. You are a bit picky with the green vegetables so we will keep working on that:) You get so excited when I put your bib on and you kick those chubby little legs around. When I give you the food you literally inhale it and you try and chew it with those little gums of yours. Whenever we are eating you always just sit and stare so you may or may not have have tasted a lot more foods than just the baby food:) Bottom line is that you LOVE LOVE to eat!
*Sleeping....hmmm you do not sleep the best at nights we'll just say that. Sometimes you wake up 2 times, other times you wake up more. So we've got to keep working on that.
* We have introduced you to the game pat a cake and you love it. Your big sister especially loves to play it with you. Another game that you two love to play is grabbing Olivia's binky. She will come up close to you and you will reach out and grab her binky out of her mouth and try and put it in your mouth. You both giggle and can play it over and over. You get so serious and seem to be concentrating  so hard. I could watch you two play forever.
*Dad has discovered that if he hangs you upside you open your mouth in a perfect oval formation making you look exactly like a bird haha. That's your dad for ya:)
*Bathtime is so fun around here. First we wash you off in your little whale tub and then we scoot you to the back of the tub and scrub your sister off. Then it's time for you two to play. Sometimes Olivia even tries to squish in to your tub with you.
*You definitely can roll over but you rarely do. You mostly just pop your little head out like a turtle and look around.
* You can sit up by yourself for about 5 seconds. Yay!
*You love to be carried around by me. I think your favorite thing is when we vacuum!
* You are such sweet baby and just have the most innocent look about you. You do seem to be afraid of your big sister at times. She can be a bit loud and rambuncteious so sometimes you will start whining when you hear her coming!

We are blessed every single moment we get to be with you.
You are truly our little angel and we couldn't love you more!

Lately...#1

Olivia thinks that if she puts a blanket over her head she is invisible!
Michael and I were dying when we figured this out. She seriously walked right up to Michael who was sitting on the other side of me and stood right next to him without making a sound haha.
She really is the funniest!

Tickle time for that chubby baby!

Michael was able to go to a Portland Blazers game with his best friend.
He apparently thinks that player is great even though I for the life of me can't remember his name ha.

These definitely were as good as everyone says!
I can't wait to go back.

He's so cute when he's changing diapers:)

These girls sure love bath time together.

I've been loving my nightly cup of raspberry tea.

Mittens on your feet....seems like a good idea to me!

Olivia is very particular about how her my ya pos are lined up.
She lines them up in different variations every single day.
One morning I walked in to my bedroom and found this:)

And in the family room I found this!

Olivia took this picture apparently.
We are at church!

And when the choir went up to sing she snapped like 12 pictures and when they were done she goes, "good job guys." Ha!

Love that little baby!

Her crying face has to be the cutest ever!

Here are few of my favorite videos as of lately as well.

I sure love this family of mine!

Happy 27th birthday Michael!

We love birthdays around here.
Especially Olivia, she was very excited mostly because she thought it was her birthday again!
My first gift to Michael was waking up with the girls so that he could sleep in.
(He's the nice one and always lets me sleep in).
My second gift to him was a nice breakfast of grits and eggs, sausage and toast served to him right in bed!
And my third gift was a massage that he can redeem after finals.
After breakfast and getting all ready for the day (it takes a while) we took Olivia and dropped her off at  a friend's house and headed out for a little date just the two of us...and our chubby baby!
We went to the mall to see if we could find Michael a pair of nice casual school shoes.
He wears Nike athletic/running type shoes. And not that there is anything wrong with that but I think it is important to have a nicer pair of shoes to wear to school and such.
Thankfully, he values my opinion and found a nice pair at Buckle.
While were at the mall we couldn't resist stopping at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and picking up a few fancy chocolates. Our favorite!
After our shoe/chocolate shopping success we headed to Red Lobster for lunch.
After lunch, we picked up little Olivia and headed home. Michael had to spend the rest of the day at the school studying.
When he got home he opened his package from my family and a birthday card from Elder Farr.
He definitely brought in a good haul this year as he likes to say!
I made a fruit smoothie and popped some popcorn and we all sat down to watch the new Superman movie that he got.
(Neither of us had seen it yet.)

I know you are saying, whatever happened to having cake and singing happy birthday.
Well, Michael wanted to do it the next day since he was so full from his big breakfast and lunch.
So that next day I made him a homemade chocolate chip cookie cake. This was a little hard for me since I am used to the traditional homemade chocolate cake with homemade chocolate frosting but he reminded me that it was HIS birthday and he really wanted a cookie bar cake. So I justified it by making the cookie dough from scratch rather than just buying the packaged dough.
Can I just brag for second. It was definitely the best tasting cookie bar cake I have ever had!
We sang happy birthday and Olivia was definitely the star of the song!

Here are a few fun pictures.

Getting ready for lunch at Red Lobster.

 Happy after a yummy lunch!

Eating my yummy sea salt caramel.
In case you haven't noticed I've had a thing for sea salt caramel lately.
I just can't seem to get enough:)

Very excited about his chocolate covered almonds.

 And the new superman!

 And his new Oakleys!

 Super hot:)

Happy birthday from Elder Farr ha.

Even though it wasn't Olivia's birthday her cute aunties Elizabeth and Emmaline didn't want her feel left out and sent her a my ya po night light.
She was thrilled!
And p.s. that hair of hers is definitely the best:)

Olivia reading to Clara after baths.
A very sweet moment.
These two....!:)

 Whoops...crappy quality.
But all snuggled in to watch our movie!

Once again, excuse my voice and focus on cute Olivia's!

Happy birthday sweet boy!

Just for fun.

  Clara and all her cuteness.

I realized that I had a similar picture of Olivia so I put them side by side to compare.
They definitely look like sisters!

November so far.

Bath time for my babies!

This sweet boy babysat both babies so that I could have a girls night.
When I came home this is what I found.

Morning snuggle time.

Little Clara wearing the very sweater my mom wore when she was a baby.

One day I walked into Olivia's room and saw this.
Who doesn't love to read about Paddington Bear?!

I love how she sings happy birthday ha!

Olivia's car seat is also known as her time out chair.
As you can tell she tries very hard to get out!

Love her smiles.
Pumpkin cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting. I think yes!

Painting "Petey pumpy (pumpkin)"
She calls all pumpkins Petey because of the book!
She sure had a blast.

Oh my goodness little turtle, just look at those arms of yours!!!

Clara rolling over, her newest trick!
Although, she doesn't do it a lot :)

New favorite treat.
It's a bit pricey but so worth it!

Dinner at Costco!

Walking the halls during church :)

Little Clara ate her entire jar of sweet potatoes for dinner!
Holy cow little chub!
Olivia didn't eat an entire jar until she was like 8 months old!

Such a good little baby!

One of my ongoing projects is to compile all of our family videos by year onto a dvd so that they play automatically.
So far I've completed Olivia's first two years.
Olivia will literally sit and watch them for hours and hours.
And when they are over ask to watch them again!

My first homemade omelette = success!

Just as happy as can be after a nice warm bath!

Isn't her chit chat the cutest ever?!

We're having a fabulous November!
Looking forward to daddy's birthday tomorrow, Thanksgiving with the Mickelsons, and a Utah trip in just 1 month!
