Happy 27th birthday Michael!

We love birthdays around here.
Especially Olivia, she was very excited mostly because she thought it was her birthday again!
My first gift to Michael was waking up with the girls so that he could sleep in.
(He's the nice one and always lets me sleep in).
My second gift to him was a nice breakfast of grits and eggs, sausage and toast served to him right in bed!
And my third gift was a massage that he can redeem after finals.
After breakfast and getting all ready for the day (it takes a while) we took Olivia and dropped her off at  a friend's house and headed out for a little date just the two of us...and our chubby baby!
We went to the mall to see if we could find Michael a pair of nice casual school shoes.
He wears Nike athletic/running type shoes. And not that there is anything wrong with that but I think it is important to have a nicer pair of shoes to wear to school and such.
Thankfully, he values my opinion and found a nice pair at Buckle.
While were at the mall we couldn't resist stopping at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and picking up a few fancy chocolates. Our favorite!
After our shoe/chocolate shopping success we headed to Red Lobster for lunch.
After lunch, we picked up little Olivia and headed home. Michael had to spend the rest of the day at the school studying.
When he got home he opened his package from my family and a birthday card from Elder Farr.
He definitely brought in a good haul this year as he likes to say!
I made a fruit smoothie and popped some popcorn and we all sat down to watch the new Superman movie that he got.
(Neither of us had seen it yet.)

I know you are saying, whatever happened to having cake and singing happy birthday.
Well, Michael wanted to do it the next day since he was so full from his big breakfast and lunch.
So that next day I made him a homemade chocolate chip cookie cake. This was a little hard for me since I am used to the traditional homemade chocolate cake with homemade chocolate frosting but he reminded me that it was HIS birthday and he really wanted a cookie bar cake. So I justified it by making the cookie dough from scratch rather than just buying the packaged dough.
Can I just brag for second. It was definitely the best tasting cookie bar cake I have ever had!
We sang happy birthday and Olivia was definitely the star of the song!

Here are a few fun pictures.

Getting ready for lunch at Red Lobster.

 Happy after a yummy lunch!

Eating my yummy sea salt caramel.
In case you haven't noticed I've had a thing for sea salt caramel lately.
I just can't seem to get enough:)

Very excited about his chocolate covered almonds.

 And the new superman!

 And his new Oakleys!

 Super hot:)

Happy birthday from Elder Farr ha.

Even though it wasn't Olivia's birthday her cute aunties Elizabeth and Emmaline didn't want her feel left out and sent her a my ya po night light.
She was thrilled!
And p.s. that hair of hers is definitely the best:)

Olivia reading to Clara after baths.
A very sweet moment.
These two....!:)

 Whoops...crappy quality.
But all snuggled in to watch our movie!

Once again, excuse my voice and focus on cute Olivia's!

Happy birthday sweet boy!
