The perfect beach day.

When it's going to be sunny and 60 degrees and you only live an hour away from the beach, you must go!
So my friend Kassi and her little boy Shayne, and me and my two littles packed our car and headed to Lincoln City to spend the day on the beach.
We picked up lunch at Subway and literally spent the rest of the afternoon soaking up the sun and watching our littles play around (even in the water) like it was the middle of summer!

Since Clara missed her nap she spent most of the time cuddled up in Kassi's arms.
She loves her.

I love the lighting in this picture. And was super happy that I loved it so much I didn't even have to edit it.

I'm secretly hoping that wherever Michael and I end up, that its by the beach.

Bath fun.

There is nothing cuter than these two playing in the bath tub together.

January goodness.

Picking up daddy from school is the best!

Michael was in charge of dinner for our weekly date night. He chose to cook up some rib eye steak in garlic and butter topped with blue cheese crumbles. I am loving watching him develop this little hidden talent of his!

Clara having fun on her playground date with daddy!

I love sneaking in Clara's room at night after she is asleep and just staring at her perfect little face.

Michael and I were able to go on a date (without the girls) to the outlets to get a few things at Nike.
We couldn't leave without picking up our favorite drink from Starbucks- a vanilla bean frappuccino drizzled in caramel! Perfect date!

My little beauties after church!

Every once in a while you just get those cravings that you have to give in to.
And chocolate chip cookies was one of them!

What a lovely sight.

Olivia and I playing our new favorite game while Clara takes a nap.

And then it's time for mommy to take a nap.
(Thanks for the picture Olivia!)

One of my favorite things is my littles all clean and lathered in lavender lotion, dressed in warm clean pajamas ready to drift off to dreamland.

A perfect weekend with the Mickelsons.

Michael's parent's and sisters Rachel and Sarah decided to come visit us for the weekend.
Between merry go round rides, lunch, a walk along the Willamette, swimming, breakfast, and hiking  Silver Falls we had the perfect weekend.

Thanks for coming down guys, we love you!

Paddington Bear.

I was first introduced to Paddington bear when I went to London with my dad in the 9th grade.
And when I went back with my grandpa my senior year in high school. I knew I loved him.
I mean seriously he has to be the cutest little bear on the planet.
So, while in London I bought a few of his books, and a little stuff animal, and a framed drawing of him by Tower Bridge (that is currently hanging right on my wall in the hallway),  so that one day when I had children of my own I could tell them all about that cute little bear.
I have read Olivia Paddington bear countless times so when I found out they were making a movie about him, I literally freaked out!
The weekend it came out, Olivia and I got all ready, bought our popcorn and drinks and were literally dying the entire show.
It was cute, and funny, and just perfect.
Oh how we love Paddington Bear!

Go Ohio State!

Michael has been a fan of Ohio State since he was born. (His mom grew up there and he even lived there for the first few years of his life. I on the other hand had never heard of them until I met Michael. And once I knew we were going to get married I knew that becoming an Ohio State fan myself was a must. I have memories of him watching games while we were dating and when we got married the first thing he bought me was my very own Ohio State shirt. We watched all the games and were even lucky enough to attend the Rose Bowl 5 years ago, at which time they played and BEAT the Oregon ducks. So tonight, 5 years later and still as strong of fans as ever we will cheer on our buckeyes!

Here are a few pictures pre game.

Of course our buckeyes pulled through. It was a nerve wrecking game at some points especially considering all of Ohio State's turnovers but they did it!
In fact they dominated!

(I have some videos but am too lazy to wait hours for them to upload so I will save those for our family dvds. In the mean time if you want to see shorter clips of them you can see them on my instagram.)

Go buckeyes!

Oh and I forgot to mention we definitely stood out here rooting for Ohio State. I mean we live right smack in the middle of duck nation.
(No offense to the ducks),  but, after going to the Rose bowl and sitting next to their fans who were literally blowing these little duck call whistles non stop, I will never ever be a fan ha.
It was awful!
