A special visit:

I should have done this post a week ago, but better late than never!
Last week, Michael's parent's came down to pick up his brother Stephen from school.
We were able to spend a couple hours on Thursday night with them and then all of Friday.
We had a blast going to Tucanos, Kneaders, swimming, the mall, and just talking.

Olivia all ready to go to Tucanos for lunch!

(I can't believe I didn't take pictures of the rest of the day but here are some more from later on that night.)

In her little robe getting ready to swim for the first time in a swimming pool.

With Grandma Kelly. We wished they lived closer so Olivia could see them more. But she loved playing peek a boo with her in her highchair.

My two cuties taking a swim!

Olivia liked sitting on my lap in the hot tub more. I don't blame her. The hot tub is SO much warmer than the pool!

Saying goodbye to Grandma :(

Saying goodbye to Grandpa :(

Sadly they couldn't stay long but we were so glad they were able to come!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful day celebrating the resurrection of our Savior.
And of course we had a blast celebrating Olivia's first Easter.
It was her first one!
I had a blast putting together her little basket. She obviously had no idea what any of it meant so I guess it was more for me. But still I am sure she appreciated the contents of her basket.
Well, she actually got 3. One from her Grandma Kelly, Grandma Angie, and us.
Lucky girl.

Here are some family pictures:

I made this cute bunny cake. The frosting was amazing.
If found it here: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the frosting recipe.
Definitely recommend it.

Arches with my baby girl!

It has been tradition for quite a few years for our neighborhood to camp in Arches National Park.
I didn't go last year but this year it was a little tempting. I knew it would be hard for Olivia and sadly my boy could not join us because of finals, but I was just anxious to get out and do something different. Seriously I was debating up until the last second because I really hate being away from Michael but I decided to go! I drove down with my dad and Emerson on Wednesday night. When we got there it was so windy we couldn't even walk so my mom put down the seats in the excursion and set up a mattress and I slept in the car with Olivia. It was pretty cold and Olivia woke up like ever 1 1/2 hours. The next day everyone wanted to go jeeping. I of course didn't. Mostly because I had no desire to fling around all over the cliffs in a car. So my mom and me just sat in the car and played with Olivia. When they got back, my family decided to go on a little walk. Olivia loved being carried around everywhere and I think mostly she just liked being outside. The rest of trip we mostly just spent relaxing, talking and of course eating amazing food and lots of junk food at the campsite. As hard as it was for me to be apart from my boy, it was a lot of fun and Olivia did pretty good (except at nights.)
While I was gone my boy sent me the cutest text. It was so creative I just thought I would share. As you read you will notice his poetic side coming out pretty strongly haha.
"Without you I am as the bee without his golden combs, the viper without his venom, the sun without his moonlit lover, hurry back to me so that my universe might once again be a striking emerald, a breath of jasmine, and a waterfall of Amethysts and stars and wonderous places."
Shocking that such stunning words came from his mouth but oh so cute! I just love him.

Here are a few pictures of our little trip:

Taking her morning nap in our bed in the car!

Waking up!

My baby girl and me at our campsite!

On our pretty walk. Grandpa loved showing Olivia all the rocks and different kinds of leaves and trees.

She loved it!

On the way back from our walk she started fussing so I took her and she fell straight asleep in this exact position. So tired! (It was way windy..obviously you can tell by my hair.)

The turtle smile.

Hanging out at the campground.

Little Hallie (my best friend's little girl) loved Olivia and would always come up to her and and point and say "baby".

Another random fall asleep moment. Since she didn't sleep well at night I am sure she was just exhausted.

Hanging out. She loved it outside.

With grandma. I am pretty sure I win the bad mom award because I didn't put sunscreen on her and she got her first little sunburn right across her nose. I got the same one. It wasn't too bad but still.

Hallie loved giving the baby kisses.

And hugs.

Leslie and I with our little girls. It is so crazy to me that just a few years earlier we were there together washing eachother's hair in freezing cold water, getting in sand fights, going on tons of hikes, falling off cliffs, and just being best friends like we were. I am glad that we were able to both go this year and even though it was a lot different we still had so much fun!

Yay for just a bunch of random pictures!!

The bumbo. She loves it most of the time, however sometimes she tries to fling herself out. She's getting pretty close, yikes!

Walked into the room to find these two cuties chatting it up. Michael was just talking away in Spanish and she was just calmly listening. (She usually won't just lay there when she is awake.)

Olivia loves to feel Grandpa's beard:)

Making progress on catching her smile! She is wearing a little jacket my dad and brothers brought her back from Nepal.

Watching mom and dad play basketball!

Thanks guys for her cute way warm jacket!

I finally got the Olivia letters up! Thanks to my best friend Leslie for making them! Not a fan of the blue walls but since it will be my dad's office when we move out he got to pick the color. So I guess for now it will have to do!

Playing in her crib with some of her ribbons. A girl can never have to many bows. I'm just saying!

Teddy Bear:

Little Olivia in her little teddy bear bunting.
Oh my gosh I just want to squish her!
She had her 6 month appointment the other day.
Here are her stats:
Height: 25 inches- 21st percentile
Weight: 14 lbs 4 ounces-15th percentile
She's a little thing but definitely has her rolls.
We love her so much!

Just an extra cute picture I found on my camera:

Conference Weekend:

We had an amazing weekend with family as we celebrated Sophia's birthday, watched conference, and just spent time together.
Here are a few pictures:

Olivia is getting so good at holding herself up. Sometimes she will even stand up next to the couch all by herself!

Yay for sitting up by herself!

On Friday night, Michael and I went to Olive Garden. When we got home and went to get Olivia out we found her asleep holding on to her little toy with her headband around her neck. So cute. But as soon as I pulled my camera out to take a picture she popped open her eyes.

Olivia and Daddy watching conference. Having them sitting next to each other like that made me realize how much she looks like him!

Emerson and Olivia watching conference. Olivia actually seemed to enjoy watching conference. She would get all serious whenever they started speaking.
I'm not going to lie that little girl is spoiled. She gets so much attention from her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. We are in for it when we move away for law school.

Auntie Sophie letting Olivia suck on a small piece of pepperoni. She loved it.

What a cutie!

The family at The Pizza Factory for Sophia's 20th Birthday!

Michael and I were loving the warm weather. So sad it is cold now. But we were able to play a lot of basketball and go on walks. Olivia loves sitting in her stroller and watching us play.

P..s. Wishing my boy luck these next couple of weeks as he finishes up all his final projects and papers and prepares for finals. Yay for summer break!
