Clara was blessed on July 28, 2013.
We were lucky enough to bless her in Utah with both sides of the family.
The days leading up to her blessing were quite crazy in the Farr home.
The 24 hour stomach flu was rapidly taking its toll on each member of the family.
We had originally planned on having a couple of my aunts and Michael's grandparents come but decided at the last minute that it would be best if they didn't so that we wouldn't spread the stomach flu to anyone else.
I was quite disappointed about this mostly because I had envisioned what I thought her special day would be like. I am very close to my aunts and was sad that they wouldn't be coming.
On Sunday morning Michael woke up sick. He spent 30 minutes laying by the toilet trying to decide whether or not he would be able to bless her. Michael's family was in town and were leaving that night to go back home and it was really important to us that they be there. So, somehow he mustered up the strength after a few throwups to get his suit on and head to the church.
Clara was given a beautiful blessing. And was surrounded by her dad, both her grandpas, her great grandpa brown, and her uncles Ryan and Matthew. (Winston and Emerson were on missions and her uncle Stephen was on a study abroad in Jerusalem.)
As my baby was being blessed I couldn't help but get emotional. Michael and I are so very blessed. Our girls are so very blessed. We have incredible families, we have a knowledge of the gospel and know how much our Heavenly Father loves us, and we have each other. What more could we ask for?!
Great Grandpa Brown, me, and Clara.
I am so grateful to my grandpa for supporting us on this special day.
I was having such a hard morning with Michael being sick and things not going how I had originally planned but when I got to church and saw him getting out of his car, I completely lit up and suddenly felt so much better.
I love this man so very much.
Great Grandpa with his great granddaughter.
The table decorations.
We served homemade french toast and an orange juice smoothie.

My perfect girls.
I'm seriously the luckiest momma.
Beautiful Clara.
Clara is wearing my great grandma Brown's sister's little dress. (My grandpa Brown's aunt).
Her name was Luetta and she passed away when she was just 10 years old.
And then she is wearing my grandpa Brown's little bonnet.
And my great great grandma Sarah's (on the Farr side) booties that she made when nearly blind.
The blanket she is on was crocheted by my great grandma Cederlof. (My grandma Brown's mother).
I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for blessing our family with our beautiful Clara Sophia.
We can't wait for every moment we're blessed to spend with her.
She's truly our little angel.
