Day 3: May 23, 2011

Off to the beautiful beach

Apparently this crocodile was found swimming along in the ocean right by where we swim. It somehow escaped from some zoo haha. They evacuated the waters to get this little guy out. I am glad that we weren't quite down there yet cause if I would have been in the water when they said to evacuate I would have completely freaked because the first thing that would have come to my mind would have been shark. And if you know me at all you know that one of my greatest fears is sharks.
(My family was down there during this interesting spotting so they took this picture.)

My boy and I.

Going for a swim together.

Me and my baby girl.

Grandpa, Grandma, and baby.

So in the last post I talked about how I think I enjoyed the sunshine a little too much, well if you look at my legs you will see why. I completely scalded them. Seriously I have never had a sunburn like this. I was so focused on putting sunscreen on Olivia constantly that I forgot about putting it on my legs. Thank goodness I remembered my face. Anyway, my legs were so sore I could hardly move for a couple days. Luckily some good did come of the redness and intense pain...tanness, yay!

There's the tongue!

So there is this little river that goes through the resort that is full of these turtles. We seriously stopped to watch them every time we passed the river. Mostly cause Michael is a bit obsessed. Pretty sure we will be having one of these as a pet in our later days.

Swimming in the pool.

Totally loving the water in her new floaty.

Nap time at the pool!

The family enjoying our smoothies in the pool.

About to get dunked. Thank you Michael for saving me. Not.

Floating on the little's floaties.

Love her.

Thanks to Michael and my mom Sophia and I were able to enjoy our own little special dinner at the Italian buffet. The waiter was a bit interesting and by interesting I mean a 50 year old man trying to hit on Sophia haha. Towards the end of the dinner I looked out the window and saw Michael walking towards the restaurant holding a screaming Olivia. She was in a full fledge scream as he walked through the restaurant and the second he handed her to me she immediately stopped. Little stinker but I really can't help but think it's a bit cute. I am glad she likes me. (The most:))

This crazy baby loves pulling hair and eating hair. Kind of interesting. So here she is attacking Sophia.

Generally I would say that Olivia has a pretty soft touch but she definitely has a vicious side that I think she gets from both her mom and dad.
Day 4: May 24, 2011

Another relaxing day at the pool.

These little creepers were all along the pathways. Seriously look how scary that face is.

My hot boy and cute girl chillin at the snack bar.

So one of the many activities you can do at the resort is Kayaking. I of course was not about to get in one of those unstable things for 2 reasons both of course involving sharks. #1: I was terrified of it flipping over in a wave and being under the water upside down and then having a shark come bite my head off. #2: I didn't want a shark to come up and tip it over and then eat me. This may sound silly but I am dead serious. I stayed far away from those things. However, my boy of course was quite excited about it. He went with my brothers and dad who ended up going in after a few minutes. (They apparently don't have the nice arm muscles like my boy.) Sophia originally was not planning on going in one...I think I freaked her out, but when she saw Michael out there all alone she decided she would go out.

In her cute puffler life jacket. She definitely wasn't a fan of it. But she still looked cute in it.

I love her little chunker leg just resting on the side. She did that quite a bit.

Eating at the Argentine restaurant. It was really good. Michael made friends with the waiter pretty quickly. They talked throughout the dinner. He apparently expressed a lot of interest in learning English and was asking Michael how he learned Spanish so quickly. The conversation ended of course with Michael a bit emotional because talking to him reminded him a lot of his mission.
So my dad came up with this little competition for the boys to see who could say or get someone to say La vida es fresca (Life is good) the most. Michael decided that it was time for him to take complete control of the competition. So while talking to his friend he apparently told him to get as many of the other waiters as he could and have them all come over and say La vida es fresca to my dad. So sure enough a few minutes later 7-8 guys came over and said it. So that pretty much wrapped up that competition. For those who know my boy know that losing is not an option for him nor do those that live with him want it to be an option. I think it is best for all parties if he wins. So yay Michael!

Olivia sporting her cute sunglasses, thanks to her Grandma Mickelson!

The family after dinner!
One more post to come soon!
