I would just like to announce that my boy got a 97% on his Spanish test! Yay for him...and us cause I guess his grades do sort of effect me:)

As of Lately...
First of all...
Michael's best friend Eric and his soon to be wife Micaela came down from Rexburg.
We went to Cafe Rio, Bowling (Each couple was a team and I am proud to say that Michael and I won! However when Micaela and I played on a team..we didn't do so well. I blame myself haha).
We then went to Flour Girl and Dough Boys (a little bakery)...If you haven't been there yet you must go! And then we just went back to our tiny apartment and talked for hours!
We are so glad they were able to come down and play with us!
Secondly...
We went to Washington for 5 days!! I absolutely love Michael's family.
I went and saw Valentine's Day with his Mom while Michael went to lunch with his dad, we played marbles and checkers. Speaking of checkers I just thought I would share this: I completely whooped Michael at this game...yes I jumped every single one of his guys without losing one of mine! Yay! We went out to dinner with his parents, went out to lunch with the family (they had magnetic silverware), watched lots of movies, went to Matthew's basketball game, played Tiger Woods golf on the play station, got our teeth cleaned (no cavities!), learned how cheese is made, ate cheese curds, had an amazing Valentine's Day dinner. Michael went golfing with the boys while I went to a craft fair and got the cutest magnets for our fridge! Nevertheless, it was an amazing 5 days with the most amazing family! We already miss them and can't wait to see them in a little over a month!
Thirdly...
We went to see New Moon again last night at the dollar movie!
Yes, it was Michael's idea haha.
I don't do so well with the movies after 6:00 pm so I ended up falling asleep.
Lastly and the cutest...
Michael and I have been married for 6 months now.
Our little anniversary is on Valentines haha.
I can't believe it has already been 6 months!
I think we have learned and grown a lot and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together and forever!
I am bad a taking pictures...but here are a couple!

Spotlights:
I would just like to say that these 2 people brought a smile to me today and helped me realize how lucky I am to be surrounded by people that care about me.
Can I just say that I love him so much.
I am so grateful he is a part of our family.
He is a little out of control....i guess VERY.
But he has a very sweet sensitive side that comes out sometimes:)
Let me share with you one of those times.
Today Michael and I each got a valentine from this precious boy.
Here is what they said: (I left the spelling how he spelled it)
Micholl,
I love you
you are so funny kide (kid)
I luve you are hery (hairy) kide (kid) and a good itsampt.( example haha)
Isebel,
You are the best sister in the world
Sens (since) you got mery'D (married) I have love'd you

I love going home and giving him hugs and squishes.
I am so glad I have a little brother just like him.

Grandpa Brown

Grandpa Brown
He is more than just a grandpa to me.
He is a best friend.
Today he took me to lunch.
I think he knew I needed some extra encouragement.
Just today he taught me:
Determination
Motivation
Faith in myself
To never give up
And
How to be the best I can be.
I think he knew I needed that.
(I've been trying to make a decision on what to do with school)
He told me that he would always love me no matter what
because it is our qualities that define us, not what we do.
He told me to be the type of person I want to be.
And to do the things that truly make me happy.
He told me that it doesn't matter what other people think.
He reminded me of of who I am.
And that I can do whatever I set my mind to.
My grandpa reintroduced me to a girl today.
I really have missed her.
And
I've decided that I want to be her again.
Because I know she has a lot in store for her.
I am so grateful for a grandpa that knows and cares about what his oldest granddaughter needs.
I love him.
I really think I have the best grandpa.

Bonking heads:
Lately.....
I guess it is just something that happens when you are always so close to someone.
Sometimes we just get so excited to see each other that we forget to watch where our heads are.
And
Sometimes when we jump in bed, we wiggle around so much trying to get warm that are heads just hit.
And
Sometimes when we wrestle, our heads can't help but bump.
I think it's funny even though it kind of hurts.
Sometimes we can't help but laugh.
This might sound weird....but I think it's cute.
It's cute because it reminds me how much I love him and how even a silly thing like bonking our heads will be something we look back and laugh at forever.

Our Little home! (For now...yikes)
I decided that it might be fun to video our cute little apartment.
So here it is!
So here it is!
Just a few little things to add:
- really if you are over 5'10 and try to walk in the bathroom....it just won't be possible haha
-our fridge shelves aren't very tall so we have to lie our milk down...it kind of causes problems cause we always have the leaks. So....we pour our milk in a big mixing bowl and use that!
- that sound in the background is the heater. I really don't know what I would do with out it.
We love this little apartment because we have and are continuing to create memories that will be remembered forever!

PINK!!!
If you will look below you will see that I clearly have some problems doing laundry.
My dear boy has told me over and over to always wash our colors in cold.
This time I forgot.
It was a bad time to forget because I washed our very red rug with all of our clothes.
I am sad because my favorite pair of jeans is now pink.
My cute gray long sleeve shirt is pink, 2 of my pajama pants are pink.
My boy's favorite shirt (apparently he has had it for years) is also pink.
I feel bad....
Mostly for him though
Because I could get away with wearing my new pink clothes.
It might be cute every once in a while.
But for him....not so much. (No offense love)

UNO!!
We would like you to meet this special deck of cards
We LOVE it!
It has become a special tradition in the Mickelson very tiny home.
We play this game ALL the time. It's rather addicting we think.
We play best out of 3, however, it usually ends up being best out of 11.
I used to win all the time...but something happened.
I wish I knew what
Because
I can't win anymore...sad.
But, that is okay because you should see the smile on my boy's face every time he wins.
It's quite adorable.

A night out for us!
Friday night was a rather unique night for us.
Let me tell you why.
First of all you should know that our bedtime is anywhere from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm TOPS.
We are not night people.
But Friday night, we were!!!!
This is what we did.
We went to see the movie 2012 at 9:15 pm! Yes, we went to see a movie when we should have been in bed.
What time did it get over?
It got over at MIDNIGHT!!
Yay for us!
However, we got a good night sleep that night. Sleeping in until 10:00 the next morning.
But that's okay, because we were spontaneous and had a blast!
I think we will do it again.....really soon!

Our Apartment:
We live in a tiny yet very cute apartment. However, sometimes it is not so cute.
Here are some reasons why:
Sometimes I see a little mouse running around and it just creeps me out.
Our bathroom sink's hot water knob doesn't work...it just doesn't turn off. You could just keep turning and twisting it forever probably, so we had to turn off the hot water. I don't like it because I now have to wash my face and hands in cold water.
I used to think our oven was magical...because it really was! But I think it has taken a turn for the worst. It won't turn on unless you turn it on a very high temperature of at least over 400 degrees. This is a high temperature for our oven considering that fact that at 350 degrees it cooks foods that normally take 40 minutes to bake in less than 10 minutes. But this isn't my only complaint about our "magical" oven...it bent our nice non-stick cookie sheet. Yes, our brand new cookie sheet spent 5 minutes in the oven and came out looking not so new anymore. BUT the weirdest thing happened...after a couple of seconds of being out of the oven it was almost back to its original shape!
Sometimes our apartment just stresses me out. But it is okay because we have some other exciting things going on right now like:
Only 2 more days of classes and 3 Finals and I will be done with my first semester of the nursing program. Yay!!!!
We get to go to the temple on Saturday
AND MOST OF ALL
I get to live with my boy. He is such a sweet one. Just when you think you love someone so much that there is no way you can love them anymore, it happens...you fall in love all over again except this time it is so much stronger. This is what happens everyday, and I LOVE it!

Our Trip to the Rose Bowl!
For those of you who don't know...these 2 men are probably Ohio State's #1 fans. They are CRAZY! (I am sure you can tell). Anyway they are always in the front row of games freaking out. Well we had the privilege of of seeing these out of control fans right in front of the stadium. Of course I wanted to get Michael's picture with them, BUT....he wouldn't let me. Why??? Because my sweet boy was SCARED of them haha. I have no idea why, but he was and no amount of begging or guilt tripping convinced him to even be within 10 feet of them.

A very merry Christmas for us!
Our first Christmas together has been unforgettable.
We are truly blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love and support us.
Anyway, here is a little story of our first Christmas.

Here is the video of Michael opening the Rose Bowl tickets. We kind of thought he would start screaming and freaking out but he did quite the opposite haha!
It was a perfect first Christmas together! We look forward to many more!

Merry Christmas!
Christmas break is finally here! We could not be more excited! The next 2 weeks are full of:
gingerbread houses
sugar cookies
sleepovers
cuddling in blankets with hot chocolate
sleepovers
presents
sledding/snowball fights
cheese dinners
temple square
a special phone call from a brother
family
But most of all we hope to spend some time reflecting on the Savior and His birth. We are so grateful for His birth and His life. We would not be where we are today without Him. We truly are blessed.
As we think back on this year and all the amazing things that have happened. We find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude for our families and all the support they have given us, each other and Heavenly Father's plan in guiding our paths to so perfectly cross. We know we were meant to be and are so excited to continue creating our own little fairytale. We are grateful for our jobs, the opportunity we both have to go to school, the gospel, our cute tiny apartment, and all the little every day miracles we experience.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
