We spent our 4th of July weekend up at the the cabin this year.
It has been a few years since we have been there over the 4th so we were all super excited.
Of course there was a lot of drama to get a large family like ours out the door.
But we made it.
And our weekend could not have been more perfect.
I'll spare the writing and share the pictures.
Because the pictures say it all!
Of course there was lots of jumping off the end of the dock.
Even Olivia did it!
And lots of playing in the sand.
Tiny sandy bums riding in the boat to see all the action from the tubers and wake boarders!
Olivia's job was to hold up the flag every time someone fell.
For some reason these pictures turned out weird but here I am wakeboarding!
I was so proud of myself!
Notice Sophia on the wave runner behind us.
This was so comforting to me because every time I fell she would come and get me!
There is nothing more fun than to fling off the boat waves on the wave runner!
I posted this picture on instagram and loved my caption so I thought I'd share it on here.
Nothing is better than practically having the whole lake to yourself and having this love of mine wrap his arms tightly around me as we fling about the waves.
(Keep in mind he really is holding on tightly, I am a lot crazier of a driver than he is!)
My dad took Olivia in to town to watch the 4th of July parade.
She got tons of candy which is always a bonus!
Oh and doesn't she look stylish in her aunt Soph's glasses?!
The food we eat at the cabin is always top notch.
And to celebrate the 4th we made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and topped it with pop rocks!
The pop rocks started popping the second we put them on the cake which made it even more fun!
Of course we carried on the long time tradition of bathing the babies in the sink!
I think that one of everybody's favorite things to do is walk over to grandpa's cabin first thing in the morning and be greeted with a cup of hot chocolate!
Pa knows Olivia's love for popsicles so he made sure to buy a few bags especially for her!
Sweet Clara loved the wave runner and would rest her head on my arm and just lay there while we rode around.
I didn't get a picture of Jill and I riding the wave runner but I have to say she was by far my favorite person to ride with! She loves those waves!
And then we made huge waves for the swimmers!
Olivia loves her great grandpa and always wants to hear his stories. For those of you who know him know that he is a very intriguing person to say the least! They were hoping to have a nice candlelight dinner but the rest of us vetoed because of the mosquitos!
I love her little expressions!
I mean seriously...it just doesn't get cuter!
I forgot to get a family picture and since Michael had to leave a day early for work it was just us girls that got to be in our traditional end of the dock photo!
As always Hebgan you were heaven.
I will always cherish the memories I have made here and am so grateful that my children get to start creating them as well!
