Thursday afternoon I was sitting on the couch with Olivia and Clara when there was a knock at the door. (Which is rare.)
I went to peek through the peep hole and saw a missionary. I was like what the heck is a missionary doing here? I am already a member even though I've been inactive the past 4 weeks:) Maybe they were stopping by to get me to go back ha. So I opened the door and lo and behold one of Emerson's best friends Jaden (Elder Adams) was standing there.
I obviously freaked out.
He had originally been called to the Eugene, Oregon misson of which Salem was a part of. I told him that if he ever had an area in Salem we would have him over for dinner. But who are we kidding I did not think the chances of that were very high.
But they did end up splitting the Eugene mission and making Salem its very own mission. When this happened I knew that I would forsure not be seeing Jaden. I just assumed he would stay in his original mission.
But apparently I was wrong and Jaden happened to be transfered to the Salem mission.
He is not serving in my ward but he said he got in contact with the sisters who were to get my address.
Oh my gosh, it was awesome.
Sadly I couldn't invite them in because Michael wasn't home but they will definitely be coming over for dinner in the very near future.
I LOVE missionaries. Mostly because I have my two brothers serving and it makes me feel closer to them when I see and talk to other missionaries.
But it was extra special to see Emerson's best friend. I can't wait to email Emerson tomorrow. He will surely freak out!
Speaking of my missionary brothers, Winston is coming home in just 2 months (August 29th)!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly believe it's been almost two years. I can hardly wait.
