4th of July weekend at the cabin.

We spent our 4th of July weekend up at the the cabin this year.
It has been a few years since we have been there over the 4th so we were all super excited.
Of course there was a lot of drama to get a large family like ours out the door.
But we made it.
And our weekend could not have been more perfect.
I'll spare the writing and share the pictures.
Because the pictures say it all!

Of course there was lots of jumping off the end of the dock.
Even Olivia did it!

And lots of playing in the sand.

Tiny sandy bums riding in the boat to see all the action from the tubers and wake boarders!

Olivia's job was to hold up the flag every time someone fell.

For some reason these pictures turned out weird but here I am wakeboarding!
I was so proud of myself!

Notice Sophia on the wave runner behind us.
This was so comforting to me because every time I fell she would come and get me!

There is nothing more fun than to fling off the boat waves on the wave runner!

I posted this picture on instagram and loved my caption so I thought I'd share it on here.
Nothing is better than practically having the whole lake to yourself and having this love of mine wrap his arms tightly around me as we fling about the waves.
(Keep in mind he really is holding on tightly, I am a lot crazier of a driver than he is!)

My dad took Olivia in to town to watch the 4th of July parade.
She got tons of candy which is always a bonus!
Oh and doesn't she look stylish in her aunt Soph's glasses?!

The food we eat at the cabin is always top notch.
And to celebrate the 4th we made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and topped it with pop rocks!
The pop rocks started popping the second we put them on the cake which made it even more fun!

Of course we carried on the long time tradition of bathing the babies in the sink!

I think that one of everybody's favorite things to do is walk over to grandpa's cabin first thing in the morning and be greeted with a cup of hot chocolate!

Pa knows Olivia's love for popsicles so he made sure to buy a few bags especially for her!

Sweet Clara loved the wave runner and would rest her head on my arm and just lay there while we rode around.
I didn't get a picture of Jill and I riding the wave runner but I have to say she was by far my favorite person to ride with! She loves those waves!

And then we made huge waves for the swimmers!

Olivia loves her great grandpa and always wants to hear his stories. For those of you who know him know that he is a very intriguing person to say the least! They were hoping to have a nice candlelight dinner but the rest of us vetoed because of the mosquitos!

 I love her little expressions!

 I mean seriously...it just doesn't get cuter!

I forgot to get a family picture and since Michael had to leave a day early for work it was just us girls that got to be in our traditional end of the dock photo!

As always Hebgan you were heaven.
I will always cherish the memories I have made here and am so grateful that my children get to start creating them as well!

Jill's bridal shower.

Me, Sophia, and my mom were able to throw a bridal shower for Jill.
I had so much fun putting it together.
Between making the pom poms and cupcake garland I was in crafting heaven!
The day of the shower finally came and I was sick the entire day.
It was some sort of stomach bug because I was so nauseous but somehow managed to bust out 60 cupcakes and a bunch of cake balls.
When it came time for the shower and guests were arriving I completely collapsed and was unable to take pictures of the actual shower.
I ended up upstairs on my mom's couch for most of the night.
It was seriously so sad!
But the important part is that we are all thrilled beyond words to have Jill be joining our family!

Details:
Cupcakes: vanilla cake with a peach cream cheese frosting
Cakepops: chocolate and vanilla cake with a cream cheese frosting
Candy: bought from the wonderful Thanksgiving Point candy shop
Drink: Water with fresh peaches
Flowers: Hobby Lobby
Cupcake garland and pom poms: Made by me and Jill

Summer lovin.

This is one of those lots and lots of pictures posts so get ready!
June was fabulous!

We set up Clara's birthday present and the girls loved it!
Clara tried to drink the water like a puppy and of course was soaking wet with in seconds!

And muddy because she kept sitting down!
But seriously look at that little tongue!

Michael and I enjoyed a little day date to the temple and Zupas for lunch.
I'm in love with that place and would be so grateful if it would please come to Salem!

Little bath cuties!

Of course we made it a point to go ride River!

And Michael and I were able to take Olivia on a date to see the movie Bears.
Between the popcorn, candy, pop and the cute little bear cubs I'd say Olivia was practically in heaven!

And there's my little Clara! How cute are those two bottom teeth!

Popsicles are a must every single day.

But usually towards the end of the day so that we can put this sticky little one immediately in the bath tub!

And then it got cold and rainy for a few days and I had to buy myself a caramel cinnamon steamer!
In the middle of the summer!

We bought Olivia a "Queen Elsa" dress and she was beyond excited when it finally arrived!
She was twirling and singing her little heart out!

This little one probably asks for a popsicle at least 10 times a day!

Michael and I were able to sneak away for a little late night frozen yogurt at the Orange Leaf!

Olivia got invited to her first birthday party!
When I took her to the front door to drop her off she wouldn't let me leave so I ended up staying at the party with her.
I love that she feels so safe with me and wants to be with me all the time!

Well hello there Clara!
I love my clean little baby!

This little one loves eating on the porch and I'm right there with her!

Sometimes she puts her pants on backwards!

The city of Cedar Hills does a huge firework show every June and this year did not disappoint!

Winston set up this huge slip n slide in our backyard and we all put a trash bag on and lathered ourselves up with dish soap and had the time of our lives.

How I love summertime!
