Baby Shower!

My gorgeous cousin in law Adriana and I were able to have a joint baby shower. It was perfect. I think we are both so lucky to be having little girls. Well Adriana already had hers last week. Her name is Samantha Claire and she is beautiful! We got so many cute things. A lot of them the same! Which means our little girls have several matching outfits. I think that is cute since I am sure they will be close friends.

I took a bunch of pictures of everything..Enjoy!

Adriana and me

The whole food set up. It was so stunning you almost didn't want to eat any of it!

The most AMAZING daisy cookies. Not only are they adorable looking but they taste SO good.

More food

Cute little cupcakes...they had a rough trip up to the shower because of the heat. But they still look quite cute.

I like these

So there was a clothesline that went across the kitchen that had little baby clothes, rattles, and our baby's names hanging from it. I am so mad I didn't get a picture of the whole thing. It was so cute.

These cute outfits were given to us by my mom

My cousin and Adriana's sister in law Melanie gave us these cute little cream shoes

Aunt Susie gave us both these pillows which will be so nice! They have a strap attached so we can strap our baby into it as well. She also gave us the book..Brown bear brown bear what do you see.

Aunt Stephanie gave us these adorable dresses and a couple other ones

Sophia and me

Another picture of Adriana and me

Baby Olivia needs to hurry up and get here. I can't wait to put her in all those cute things!

5 Months!

I can't believe it has already been 5 months, yet I can't believe there are still 4 months ahead.
I can't say that I have enjoyed being pregnant so much.
But I am sure when we see our beautiful little girl it will all be worth it!
I just started getting a little pooch haha...it is a little weird.
At least it is sort of cute right now...we'll see how long that lasts:)

Happy Father's Day!

I would like to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the fathers in my life but most importantly to these 3 men: my dad, my father in law, and my husband. There are so many things that I love about each of them and I consider it an incredible blessing to be surrounded by such amazing men.
Happy Father's Day Dad!
I don't know where I would be without my dad.
He has taught me so many valuable lessons that have helped make me who I am today. There are so many things I could say about my dad that I love but here are just a few...
I love:
*How he taught me and still teaches me the importance of constantly trying to become a better person. I know at times I felt like I was being lectured all the time but I know it is only because he cares so much and that means the world to me.
*His sense of humor. I can't help but laugh at all the weird things he does.
*His willingness to put others before himself. He is always concerned about how other people are feeling. I have never seen him put himself before anyone else.
*My dad truly is one of the most amazing people I have ever met, and I don't just say that because he is my dad, I am just lucky that he is!

Happy Father's Day Antone!
Just in the short amount of time I have spent with him (sad he lives in Washington) I have developed a deep love and respect for him.
Antone is the type of person that you could sit down and talk with about ANYTHING. He never makes you feel stupid and always gives good advice.
He is incredibly smart. There is so much to learn from him.
He is the type of person that you feel safe with. You know he will always be there no matter
I am so blessed to have a father in law like him.

Last but definitely not least is my boy.
I can't even imagine our little girl's excitement to come down and have a dad like him.
I think sometimes our kids might get a bit confused as to whether or not he is their dad or one of them!
Michael is the funniest, most playful person I have ever met. I spend most of my time either laughing or shaking my head at him. I know our kids our going to love this side of him.
I know our kids are going to learn so much from him. He is so smart and so insightful and so easy to talk to.
There is so much to say about my boy and so many qualities he has that are going to make him the best dad.
I am so glad that he let me pick him to be my husband and father to our kids.
Happy Father's Day love!

Washington and a few other things!

I have quite a bit to catch up on since it has been a while since my last post. We just got back from spending an amazing 10 days up in Yakima, Washington with the Mickelsons! It was so fun to be able to relax and escape from everything...needless to say we both are a little bummed to be back.
First of all...

Happy Birthday to my Dad!
On June 2, we were able to celebrate my dad's birthday since we would be leaving to Washington the following day...his REAL birthday! I am so lucky to have such an amazing dad. I really couldn't ask for a better one!

This next picture is mostly for Kelly. But this is a picture of the nightgowns I plan on making for our baby! Aren't they adorable?

Here is another tummy picture...at 20 1/2 weeks! Just in the past week my stomach has started to pop out even more. Not too much..but it is still weird! I can feel her move around all the time now! She is getting so strong. Every once in a while she will throw quite the punch or kick:) I think she thinks it's funny to kick around down low because it makes me have to go to the bathroom haha!

Michael's parents bought us this gift for our baby...I LOVE IT!! It is so perfect and I can't wait to see her in it! Thanks guys!

Here is another picture. I really can't handle how much I love it!

Rachel wanted to make a blanket for the baby while we were there and she let me help. Rachel is so creative! We kind of struggled with the corners at first because of me..but thanks to her it turned out perfectly.

Kelly has some friends that are absolutely amazing at making little baby clips and headbands. We were able to get together with them and learn how to make them. Seriously I am addicted. I plan on making a clip or headband to match every one her outfits haha. It is so fun and so cheap! This is a little daisy clip that I will have to clip onto a headband for her since most likely she will be bald for a while.

I also learned to tie these bows to put on clips. Seriously I can't get enough of it!

We were able to go on a little hike. It was my first time really getting out since I have been off the bed rest. It was so fun to walk around even though it was quite hot. I thought I was doing so good and was quite impressed with myself until we got home and I crashed for pretty much the rest of the day. I am not a big water drinker so I think I just got a bit dehydrated. It was still a blast and Michael and I hope to get out a lot this summer!

My boy and me

We had a perfect 10 days shopping for baby clothes, baby hair things, eating snow cones and amazing food, visiting parks and seeing turtles, playing skipbo, watching Matthew make some great shots at a basketball game, golfing, watching movies and so much more. It was so fun to see the family and spend time together!

Baby girl, golf, and other things...

*First of all... Happy 19 weeks to our baby girl! We're almost to the halfway mark or maybe we are already halfway through! I am pretty sure I can feel her move now. Sometimes I get the pokes or the popcorn popping sensation. It is so adorable!

* Secondly, since we have moved in to our new ward, Michael has had the opportunity to golf in a tournament with some men in our ward. I can not even begin to describe to you his excitement about this. He had his outfit picked out several days before and was practicing his swing and putts in the family room constantly! Sadly, when the day of the tournament came a long the weather was terrible. They still played about half of the holes but Michael didn't feel like he did too well. Luckily, they decided to postpone it and play another 9 holes yesterday! Well my boy did absolutely AmAzInG! He scored a 39 and pulled off a perfect birdie shot! He was quite pleased with himself and still is which might be the reason why he can't stop talking about it!

*Thirdly, I am so excited that the new season of the bachelorette has started. I know I am crazy for getting into it but I just love the drama of it!

* Fourthly, Michael is way into the NBA playoffs this year. Go Celtics!

* Fifthly, I am not sure if being pregnant has cause some weird fears or not. I sure hope so because I am embarrassed to admit that I get scared at nights...so much so that we can't sleep with the window open and our bedroom door has to be locked. One night I woke up so scared we slept with a reading lamp on for the rest of the night.

* Sixthly, I am still awaiting some nice hot weather so I can spend more time outside.

* Seventhly, on June 3 we will driving up to Yakima to spend a week with the Mickelsons! We are both so excited!

* Eighthly, I can't think of anything else to write about for now, but we'll keep you updated on anything exciting that happens!

He caught this little garden snake in the back yard...

Fun!!

Cute Michael spent some time on Saturday playing basketball with all the little kids! I was quite impressed with him and his efforts to play nicely rather than teasing and tormenting all of them:)

I still don't really have a tummy yet. But it is just barely starting to get a little bigger. So here is a picture of me at 17 weeks!

Fun getting ready for baby Olivia!!
Right after we found out we were having a little girl we immediately went over to my mom's house and started going through all of her baby clothes. Here is one of the darling dresses we found!
I absolutely LOVE baby booties! Here are 2 pairs my mom picked up in London for the baby before we knew she was a girl!
And 2 more!!
So my best friend's sweet mom already has made Olivia this adorable blanket and burp cloths. She said that she always thought it would be a girl:)
I could resist going fabric shopping myself so that I could start making her a blanket and matching nightgown. I LOVE this fabric.

I can't believe we still have 5 months until we get to meet her. Hopefully it goes by fast!

We have now moved in with my Grandparents and are loving it! There is a lot more room and we don't have to share it with mice and ants:) Michael will be playing in a golf tournament on Tuesday with some men in our new ward. He is really excited! Other than that we are just flopping around enjoying the good weather... Michael dreaming about golf and football and me dreaming about all the cute things I can make and buy for our baby girl!

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL!!!!

My boy and I are thrilled to finally know that a little baby girl will be joining our family sometime around the middle of October! I have to admit, that I really thought it was going to be a boy. Maybe because I was preparing myself for the opposite of what I wanted. (No offense to any other oldest boys..I am sure I would have been thrilled if I was having a baby boy.) I 've been told by many people that there is nothing like a having a baby boy. However deep down I wanted a little girl so bad! I am so excited about the pink, ruffles, ribbons, silk, and dolls. Oh I can't believe that I am going to have my own little doll in 5 1/2 months!! Anyway they measured all of her limbs and her brain and head and everything measured perfectly! We also got to hear her little heartbeat! We have already picked out her name...I guess it could change but for now our top name is Olivia Alexandra!
Well...even though that is the most exciting news of the day, that wasn't the real reason why we had an ultrasound. Usually I wouldn't have been able to find out until about 20 weeks and I am only 16, but, because of my hemorrhage I have had to have a few extra ultrasounds. So yesterday we found out that the hemorrhage is getting smaller...not a lot smaller..but smaller. The hemorrhage was still pretty big so I will continue to be on pelvic bedrest. Luckily it is not affecting our little girl so that's good news and at least it's improving even if it's just a little bit! We appreciate all the prayers in our behalf. It's still really scary for us, but we know everything will be fine!

I really can't handle how beautiful she is! I love how her little hand is up by her face. It kind of looks like she is sucking her thumb!
If you look really closely at this one you will see that her little legs are sticking straight up in the air! You can see her little bum too! We can already tell that she has a little bit of her dad in her:)
I think that knowing that the it inside of me is a tiny baby girl has made our love grow for this little one. It is neat to watch Michael become more and more attached to her. We love her so much and can hardly wait to meet her!

Thanksgiving Point and Lemon Sorbet!!

So this picture is a little blurry but it's still one of the few pictures we have taken lately. We have been celebrating a lot of birthdays in the Farr family which is fun because that means we get to go out to eat for free! We are at the pizza factory in this picture.

On Saturday we went to a baby animal farm at Thanksgiving point! I still haven't been feeling well and sadly am still on the partial bedrest, but I really wanted to get out...especially for Michael's sake. So we went with my family and my aunt and her kids. My mom wasn't thrilled about me walking all around the little farm since it still hurts my stomach to walk. So she got a wheel chair. I probably would have rather walked..haha. I felt a little embarrassed in the wheel chair...and I think Michael would have rather me walked too since he was the one that had to push me all around. It was still fun even though I couldn't really handle the gross smells.

Lastly, about 2 years ago I went to my aunt and uncle's house in San Francisco They had me try this lemon sorbet. It was seriously amazing. Since then I have been on the hunt to find some here in Utah. Well I have had no luck. I even searched in Washington hoping to find some. Well, last night my dad brought home a surprise dessert. Well guess what that surprise dessert was? LEMON SORBET! Haha. He has known where to get some all along. I am so excited about this. Apparently it is $9 bucks a quart but it is definitely worth every penny!

A little unexpected scare:

We had our second doctor's appointment yesterday. We were just expecting a visit with the doctor and being able to listen to our baby's heartbeat. Well, things didn't go quite as planned. For the past weeks I have had some problems with bleeding and had gone in last week to hear the heartbeat just to make sure the baby was okay. Luckily they found the heartbeat and everything was fine! Well today the doctor told me that he just wanted to do an ultrasound and make sure everything was okay and kind of get an idea of how much bleeding there is. Well obviously they found our little one as healthy as can be...a little bigger than normal. (Maybe I have an earlier due date!) However if you look at the picture you will see a little blob of something in the bottom right corner. Well that is known as a subchorionic hemmorrhage. This is fairly common in pregnant women. About one in four women will bleed during pregnancy. However, when they measured the length of my hemmorrhage there was a little more bleeding than normal. So because of this I have to go on pelvic bed rest for at least the next 2 weeks. After which, I will get another ultrasound to see if the hemmorrhage has gone down. Luckily pelvic bed rest won't require me to be flat on my back. I don't think I could handle that. But I am not allowed to participate in any form of exercise and pretty much just have to take it really easy. Although I love our baby so much I would do anything to make sure everything is okay. This has been a little bit of a scare for us especially because this is our first one and we have no idea what to expect. But we feel like everything is going to be fine. We will keep you updated on everything!

Random:

You would think that the further along I get with this baby the better I would feel right?
Wrong....Just in the past 2 days I have thrown up more than I did in my first 9 weeks. Not fun.
I probably would have thrown up a lot more if I wasn't so stubborn about trying to fight it.
I hesitate sharing this, but since this blog is mostly for me to look back and remember things I will. Showering has become particularly difficult for me. I am lucky my boy can't smell:) Before you get all grossed out I will tell you why. First of all...by the time we get home from work and school I have zero energy to stand up in the shower for 10 minutes so I usually don't. Second of all... I can't shower in the mornings because Michael leaves way before me and there is no way I am getting in the shower when he is gone. I know I have issues but I am just too scared to do it. I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what it is that scares me so much. I think it is either a man with an ax or a clown. Anyway, I have decided that I want to be a cute pregnant girl and in order to do that I am going to need to shower a little more often. (Not every 4 days.)

Michael is done with school...well except his finals! Good luck to him! We have a double date planned for Saturday night that I am excited for...if I am feeling good. And then on Sunday one of my best friends will be giving her farewell talk. I can't believe that I am old enough to go on a mission. Well not quite but still I am close and it kind of freaks me out. I don't really want to get old.

My camera is still broken and Michael's is just weird. That is why I have no pictures to post. Besides showering daily getting a working camera is my top priority.

Cookies, Ants, a lime, AND a movie.....

As I have been reflecting on myself the past week, I have come to realize that I am NO fun at all while pregnant. Poor Michael. I can't really handle the loud noises and all the hyper activities that my boy loves to make and do. So we have had to tone things down a bit....hopefully just temporarily.
In trying to be festive and creative we bought these easy to make sugar cookies to make for Family Home Evening. I was so excited about them! I thought the little chicks on them were so cute. Well each box contains 24 little balls of cookie dough that you place on a cookie sheet. We put a sheet of 12 in the oven for 5 minutes TOPS. I was surprised when I smelled something burning and opened the oven only to find our cute cookies completely burnt. I HATE OUR OVEN. I used to think it was magical because it cooked things so quickly....but cute little tender cookies like these need to be cooked slowly and thoroughly. Luckily we had 12 left so we put those in the oven and watched them even more carefully. Well the closest we could get to perfect is what you see in the picture. They tasted amazing but they just aren't as cute as I thought they would be. There was a little to much brown on the top. Oh well!

THE ANTS ARE BACK:(
This morning I woke up and was eating breakfast. I took a peep out of the corner of my eye and noticed a pile of black ants on our kitchen floor. I pretty much freaked out and ran over to the cupboard only to find piles and piles of ants EVERYWHERE. Sadly, I was late to work so I only had to time to quickly vacuum the floor and hope that they don't end up taking over our apartment. (Wouldn't be hard for them at all.) I can't believe I have to deal with this haha. It just
makes me so excited to finally get out of our place. The countdown begins.....1 month!!!!

My boy and I are quite fascinated with the growth of our little one. We are excited to announce that our baby is now the size of a large lime! Large!!! YAY!!! We can't really tell that it is because there is no sign whatsoever that I have a baby inside of me. Besides the fact that I bloat after eating and struggle with some sickness. Our little one is 11 weeks old today. This week our baby begins to swallow and develop finger nails and intestines. Apparently the baby urinates the amniotic fluid...I don't really get that, but we are just glad that everything is going well!

On Friday, my boy and I will being going on a date to see this movie! Michael isn't too thrilled about the movie but is sweet enough to go with! I am so excited I can hardly handle it.

Look how cute!!

So a few posts ago...we introduced you to our little blueberry.
And obviously the picture we showed you wasn't really an actual picture of our little one.
So, we would officially like to introduce you to our little 10 week old baby.
I really can't handle how little and cute he/she is!!
Our little one is due October 20th 2010 and we can hardly wait!
I couldn't believe how much the baby looked like a baby at only 11 cm long!
I was hoping that the baby would be moving around, but it wasn't haha.
It was just lying there snug as a bug.
We listened to the cute little heart beat which was 170 beats per minute! Crazy!
It was such a relief to finally be able to see our little one and know that everything is alright.
We already love our baby so much!
There are so many special memories and experiences ahead for Michael and I.
We are so excited!

A little update:

I should have blogged this past week a little more because a lot things of happened that we want to share!
First of all...on March 13, 2010 my boy and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary of our engagement! I can't believe it has already been 1 year....CRAZY! It was such a special day for both of us. I still can't get over how perfect it all was. I remember how excited I was to be engaged to Michael...but now....that excitement doesn't even compare to being married to him!

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!
Today we:
*Went to work
*Played Wii: trying to collect all the star coins on Mario so we could open some rainbow worlds!
* Convinced my siblings, Elizabeth, Emmaline, and Harrison that there was a little leprechaun that was running around our backyard looking for coins. It was the funniest thing ever haha. They would leave coins out in a bowl in the middle of the grass and then run up to the front yard and hide for a minute. When they would come back the coins would be gone! ( I would re hide them haha) They never caught on that it was me hiding them so they still think there is a little leprechaun running around our house!
*Got all of our taxes taken care of and found out we will be getting quite a bit of money back!! Yay!!!
*Played basketball...mostly speed. Michael beat me twice but I beat him the last time, which was quite exciting for me!

Michael wasn't too excited about taking this picture...but oh well! I wish you could see my scarf better because it is adorable. My mother-in-law sent us a St. Patricks Day package and she gave me that scarf and some cute bracelets!

Alright...on to our little one!!!

I took two pregnancy tests the first one on February 24, and the second one on February 26th. Obviously they both came out positive! You can't really tell in this picture..the second one is better. I just barely took these pictures so they have faded slowly over the past 3 weeks.

We bought our first little item for our baby. This is his/her first baby journal! I can't really handle how cute it is!

These little booties are very special. My great grandma and I were very close. She loved to crochet and would crochet a pair of booties for every baby born into the family. I knew she wouldn't be alive by the time I had a baby so...I asked her if she could make mine early! They are so little. When I look at them I just can't believe they will be on our little baby in about 7 months!

The lives of us during early pregnancy:

Sadly, my camera is broken and Michael's is out of batteries....so no pictures this time. Although I am in the process of getting mine fixed and remembering to get batteries for Michael's at the grocery store.
There isn't much to share except:
-We bought our little one a baby book so that we can start recording important events and memories. It is very cute.
- I now carry an American Eagle bag everywhere I go in case I can't make it to the bathroom...(I've only thrown up once..but I feel like it a lot).
-The bed and the couch are my favorite spots besides Michael's arms:)
-Michael is keeping busy with school, plasma, work, keeping the apartment clean, working out and taking care of me.
-Mornings are the worst. It is so hard to get out of bed in the morning because that is when the nausea kicks in.
-I have become terribly picky on what I want to eat. Sometimes my poor boy will list off seven different kinds of foods we could eat for dinner before I finally pick one. Right now my least favorite foods that I can't even stand to think about are: fish sticks, and chunky soup.
-Our fun together for now consists of uno, movies and cuddling.
-We are excited to see our baby for the first time on an ultrasound March 24th!
- I really just want to thank my sweet boy for being so understanding and so willing to take care of me. He goes above and beyond in everything he does. I really am the luckiest girl. We hope things get better rather than worse as each week passes!

Our little blueberry! (For now)

My boy and I have someone very special we would like you to meet...
This is our little blueberry sized baby that will be joining our family sometime in October.
Well this isn't an actual picture of it but I'm sure it looks something like this.( About 7 weeks)
I feel so bad calling it an it cause its not so I think we need to come up with a cute little name even though we don't know the gender.
We are excited and nervous and a little shocked all at the same time but we know that this little one is going to bring us closer together.
We are excited to welcome this sweet one into our family and will keep everyone updated on all the exciting news that is ahead.

A little congrats

I would just like to announce that my boy got a 97% on his Spanish test! Yay for him...and us cause I guess his grades do sort of effect me:)

As of Lately...

First of all...
Michael's best friend Eric and his soon to be wife Micaela came down from Rexburg.
We went to Cafe Rio, Bowling (Each couple was a team and I am proud to say that Michael and I won! However when Micaela and I played on a team..we didn't do so well. I blame myself haha).
We then went to Flour Girl and Dough Boys (a little bakery)...If you haven't been there yet you must go! And then we just went back to our tiny apartment and talked for hours!
We are so glad they were able to come down and play with us!

Secondly...
We went to Washington for 5 days!! I absolutely love Michael's family.
I went and saw Valentine's Day with his Mom while Michael went to lunch with his dad, we played marbles and checkers. Speaking of checkers I just thought I would share this: I completely whooped Michael at this game...yes I jumped every single one of his guys without losing one of mine! Yay! We went out to dinner with his parents, went out to lunch with the family (they had magnetic silverware), watched lots of movies, went to Matthew's basketball game, played Tiger Woods golf on the play station, got our teeth cleaned (no cavities!), learned how cheese is made, ate cheese curds, had an amazing Valentine's Day dinner. Michael went golfing with the boys while I went to a craft fair and got the cutest magnets for our fridge! Nevertheless, it was an amazing 5 days with the most amazing family! We already miss them and can't wait to see them in a little over a month!

Thirdly...
We went to see New Moon again last night at the dollar movie!
Yes, it was Michael's idea haha.
I don't do so well with the movies after 6:00 pm so I ended up falling asleep.

Lastly and the cutest...
Michael and I have been married for 6 months now.
Our little anniversary is on Valentines haha.
I can't believe it has already been 6 months!
I think we have learned and grown a lot and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together and forever!

I am bad a taking pictures...but here are a couple!

Spotlights:

I would just like to say that these 2 people brought a smile to me today and helped me realize how lucky I am to be surrounded by people that care about me.

HarrisonThis is my little brother Harrison.
Can I just say that I love him so much.
I am so grateful he is a part of our family.
He is a little out of control....i guess VERY.
But he has a very sweet sensitive side that comes out sometimes:)
Let me share with you one of those times.
Today Michael and I each got a valentine from this precious boy.
Here is what they said: (I left the spelling how he spelled it)

Micholl,
I love you
you are so funny kide (kid)
I luve you are hery (hairy) kide (kid) and a good itsampt.( example haha)

Isebel,
You are the best sister in the world
Sens (since) you got mery'D (married) I have love'd you
I love love love love you.

I love going home and giving him hugs and squishes.
I am so glad I have a little brother just like him.
I love love love love him too!

Grandpa Brown
This is my Grandpa Brown.
He is more than just a grandpa to me.
He is a best friend.
Today he took me to lunch.
I think he knew I needed some extra encouragement.
Just today he taught me:
Determination
Motivation
Faith in myself
To never give up
And
How to be the best I can be.
I think he knew I needed that.
(I've been trying to make a decision on what to do with school)
He told me that he would always love me no matter what
because it is our qualities that define us, not what we do.
He told me to be the type of person I want to be.
And to do the things that truly make me happy.
He told me that it doesn't matter what other people think.
He reminded me of of who I am.
And that I can do whatever I set my mind to.
My grandpa reintroduced me to a girl today.
I really have missed her.
And
I've decided that I want to be her again.
Because I know she has a lot in store for her.
I am so grateful for a grandpa that knows and cares about what his oldest granddaughter needs.
I love him.
I really think I have the best grandpa.

Bonking heads:

Lately.....

My boy and I have been bonking heads quite a bit.
I guess it is just something that happens when you are always so close to someone.
Sometimes we just get so excited to see each other that we forget to watch where our heads are.
And
Sometimes when we jump in bed, we wiggle around so much trying to get warm that are heads just hit.
And
Sometimes when we wrestle, our heads can't help but bump.
I think it's funny even though it kind of hurts.
Sometimes we can't help but laugh.
This might sound weird....but I think it's cute.
It's cute because it reminds me how much I love him and how even a silly thing like bonking our heads will be something we look back and laugh at forever.
