Baby Mickelson at 11 weeks.

(Look how cute and tiny!!)

Yay I have returned to the world of blogging!
This post is definitely outdated but since it is our family journal I am going to have to catch up on a few posts.
I had my first appointment with the doctor at around 11 weeks.
You have no idea how excited I was, mostly because I got to see our little one for the first time.
Seeing him/her made this whole pregnancy more real and gave me much motivation to carry on despite the constant nausea.
The appointment went well and the doctor said the baby was measuring perfectly for a June 8th due date!

Well as I was getting ready to leave, I was standing in the waiting area making some future appointments when I started to get really hot and dizzy.
I decided to just try and tough it out and get outside to the fresh air as soon as possible.
Well the secretary seemed to be taking forever and I knew it was a matter of seconds before I'd be passed out on the ground so I asked her if I could go sit down while she finished.
The second I sat down, I started to feel better so as soon as she brought me my paperwork I just got up and started walking out.
Well the hallway is extremely long and I immediately started feeling light headed again, so I started to walk faster thinking I just needed to get outside.
Apparently that just made it worse because seconds later I found me self squatting on the ground in the hallway.
Of course I was immediately surrounded by nurses with bags that were asking me questions and taking my blood pressure.
I was then helped into a wheel chair and wheeled back into a room where they gave me orange juice, crackers, took my blood pressure at least 3 more times, and checked my blood sugar.
After 20 minutes of this, I was finally told I could leave but just to be careful and keep drinking LOTS of water.
Oh my gosh I seriously can not believe I almost passed out in a doctor's office.
Although it probably is the safest place:)

Anyway, that being said I am now 18.5 weeks pregnant.
And FINALLY starting to feel better!

The past 12 weeks of this pregnancy have been horrible.
I seriously have never been so sick in my life and woke up every morning wondering how I was going to do it.
I barfed at least 100 times, never found relief from the constant nausea even at nights.
My apartment was a disaster, I couldn't cook a single thing let alone eat it.
Literally everything grossed me out.
I found myself lightheaded and dizzy all the time.
I guess the best way to describe how I felt is to say I pretty much had a constant stomach flu for just over 12 weeks.
Looking back I honestly don't know how I survived.
The only thing that kept me going was my sweet baby growing inside that has already brought me so much joy and will continue to forever.
I also couldn't be more grateful to my sweet Michael who definitely carried not only his large load but mine as well.
He would come home from a long day at school and immediately start in picking up, doing dishes, giving Olivia much needed attention and so much more.
I couldn't have done it without him.
I'm one lucky girl and feel so blessed to have him as my husband.
I'm also so grateful for my mom for letting us come and stay with them for a month.
I was totally spoiled and it definitely helped me get through the final weeks of morning sickness.

So now that I've laid that all out on the table I just want to say that despite the past 12 weeks I am so grateful for this baby and would go through it all over again if I had to.
I already love our baby so much and can hardly wait for the next 20 weeks to be over!

Stay tuned for Friday, for the baby's gender will be revealed!
SO EXCITED!
