Memorial Day.

Memorial day has always been one of those days that I've really looked forward to.
No school, no work,  and lots of barbecues and yummy food.
This year was just a bit different than what I was used too.
Michael had to work from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
So the second he got home we ventured off to the mall.
It is about 10 minutes away, in Valencia.
(Taylor Lautner aka Jacob from Twilight lives there)
Since I'm sure you care.
Anyway, it is a dang nice mall.
Seriously I've never seen anything like it before.
Olivia loved the fountains and the turtle/fish pond.
Michael liked the sunglasses store, the arcade, and Cinnabon.
I was in heaven with Forever XX1 and Janie and Jack (an overpriced baby store).
If I had unlimited money I would definitely buy many things for Olivia from there.
Just sayin.
But for me, the highlight of the night was finding the one and only Tutti Frutti.
I had heard so much about this frozen yogurt place, but never had tried it myself.
(They don't have one in Utah by the way.)
Lucky for us when we looked it up we found one right by the mall.
So we went.
And I am pleased to announce that it lived up to every expectation I had.
I had a little bit of strawberry, peach, and pomegranate.
And it was heaven in my mouth.
So if anyone wants to come visit us, do not worry you will be well taken care of in the frozen yogurt department.
I loved spending this holiday with just the 3 of us even if Michael still had to work and we ate Taco bell for dinner instead of hamburgers and watermelon.
It was definitely a Memorial Day to remember.

On a more serious note, I just want to express my appreciation to those who have, are, or will serve our country.
I have seen the endless rows of graves at the American cemeteries over in France from WWI and WWII.
And it was at that time I really realized for myself how blessed I am, how blessed we are as a country.
And we owe it to all our brave soldiers who so willingly give up their lives to defend our freedom.
And for that I will always be thankful.

Pretty girl all ready to go out for the afternoon.

Loving all the fish and turtles.

Michael was in hopes that he would find the ninja turtles arcade game, but sadly they didn't have it.
So instead he settled for basketball.
He only made like 7 baskets in 1 minute haha.
Maybe he'll do better next time!

Yummy Cinnabon!

Enjoying Tutti Frutti!

This little girl thought the water coming out of the fountains was the funniest thing ever.
She would stick her hand right in front of the water hole and just bust up laughing.
Even when she sprayed herself in the face.

Now she is like crap I'm kind of cold now haha.

Our little peachick.

We hope you had a happy Memorial Day as well!
