Easter photoshoot.

Even though doing little photo-shoots of my girls is a lot of work, it's definitely worth it.

I mean every time I look at them I can't believe that they're mine forever!

Florence.

I have been wanting to visit Florence for quite some time now. And when I heard Michael's spring break was coming up I knew we had to go. It was about a 2 hour drive which with two little crazies seemed like almost too long of a drive. But I knew it would be worth it.

We started our trip off by eating a seafood lunch at Mo's. The food was yummy and the views were gorgeous.

We then made our way to the the sea lion caves.

It is one of the largest sea caves in the world and is the resting place to hundreds of sea lions.

The views walking to the cave are breathtaking. It is also a very good spot to whale watch. We were lucky enough to see several gray whales as well as a few sea lions making their way to and from the cave.

You take an elevator down in to the cave. I'm amazed at how far down you go. Anyway, the second the elevator doors open you literally are hit with the most disgusting smell ever. But don't worry seeing the hundreds of sea lions barking away in the cave makes it all worth it :)

Seriously it was so incredible.

 On a quick side note, thanks to these caves Clara learned what sound a sea lion makes and it's absolutely hilarious!

Next stop was Heceta Head lighthouse.

There just aren't words.

We hiked our way up to it about 1/2 a mile all the while enjoying stunning views of the coast.

The first thing Olivia said when she saw it was, "oh my gosh, it's Rapunzel's castle!"

Next we decided to go play on the beach for a little bit.

I mean who can resist the beach!

It was a little on the windy side and water, well it was shockingly cold.

While Clara, Michael and I enjoyed the ocean from afar Olivia played in the waves until we literally had to drag her out for fear she would freeze to death.

This little girl has a special place in her heart for the ocean just like her momma.

To finish off our perfect day we stopped for icecream at a local shop called BJ's.

The pear and salted caramel were divine.

You know me and my icecream, especially salted caramel.

And of course we couldn't leave without snagging some homemade saltwater taffy!

I could write pages and pages of how absolutely stunning it was but the pictures do pretty well of showing you.

I love that you can see the very cute Heceta head lighthouse in the distance.

You'll notice it in a lot of the scenery pictures.

We spotted a few gray whales here as well!

I've said it before and I'll probably say it a million more times but I'm not kidding you when I say the Oregon Coast has to be the most beautiful place on the planet.

Blossom loveliness.

One afternoon we decided to take a drive to the State Capitol because we had heard the the blossoms were gorgeous.

We walked all around and even made our way to Willamette University's campus which was stunning as well.

 Of course seeing ducks a long the way was the highlight for these guys!

I'm so grateful we live in such a dreamy place.
