The Cabin. (Part 1)

Growing up I would go up to the cabin at least two times each summer spending weeks and weeks flinging behind tubes, roasting marshmallows on the beach, going on walks and bike rides, 4 wheeling, reading, feeding the squirrels, and shopping in West Yellowstone. I used to throw fits about going, not wanting to be away from my friends for that long. Now I have no clue why I did. That place is literally heaven on earth. And after being unable to make it up there last year I was determined to get up there this year. We wanted to wait until after Winston got home and things calmed down a bit so we decided to go for Labor Day Weekend.
We made the 6 hour drive late Friday night. Oh my gosh let me just say that traveling with my family is interesting. We didn't leave until 8:30 pm meaning we didn't get to the cabin until around 1:30 pm. We were exhausted to say the least. We went with my grandpa Brown and aunt Annabelle's little family.
Olivia was in heaven even though she had her big cast on.
She loved tubing with the big kids, playing in the sand and teepee, and riding on the boat cheering everyone on.
We are so so grateful for wonderful family members to share this place with.
Some of my fondest memories were created here and I'm so excited that my children get the opportunity to create some of their own.

Enjoy the pictures!
There are a lot, especially of my Olivia.
I seriously could not eliminate any of them no matter how hard I tried.

 Playing in the sand!

Great grandpa held baby Clara so that I could go tubing!

Tanning on the dock.
A definite favorite of mine!

Baby Clara wearing the very swimsuit I wore when I was a baby.
I've decided that baby stretches are the cutest!

 My precious little girl.

She loved playing with the little fishies.

Riding the jet ski with uncle Winston and aunt Soph.

Taking another ride with grandma and Harrison.

Going on a little boat ride to watch all the kids tube.

She loved helping grandma pull the kids on the tubes.

I'm in love with her eyelashes.

 Love that little curl.

 Precious baby Clara.

Olivia and Abigail.
They are pretty much exactly one year apart.
Apparently they are first cousins once removed ha. So we just call them cousins:)

Entertaining everyone with the funny ugly face that she's so famous for!

 Love my girl.

There's something about the cabin and how peaceful and relaxing it is. You really just want to sleep all day and all night and that's exactly what she did!

 There's that littlest baby!

 Me and my girls.
We sure missed daddy this trip.

 The crew.

The family with grandpa.
He's what makes the cabin so special:)

We are so blessed to have this perfect place to go to and I am seriously counting down the days until we're back.

What does a fox say?

Here is a quick little sneek peek of what has been going on around our house since this lovely song was discovered.
Like father like daughter!

Clara's 3 months.

I can't believe we've had you with us for 3 whole months.
It's hard to remember what our little family was like without you.
You fit so perfectly and bring so much happiness.

Here are a few things about you:
*You giggled for the first time. Just once though. And we haven't heard it since but it was the cutest giggle I've ever heard. I can't wait for more!
*You smile all the time now. Seeing your little smile completely melts my heart. It doesn't get better, I promise!
*You are an angel sleeper. You now sleep from around 11:00 pm to 6-6:30 am. And then wake up to be nursed and fall right back asleep until around 9:00 am. You then wake up again,  nurse and then fall back asleep until 12:00 pm. You then have a few more awake periods and good naps throughout the rest of the day and evening. But you have definitely figured out that nothing is better than nice long naps and a good nights sleep. I am forever grateful for this. It makes for a much happier mommy!
*You sleep in mommy and daddy's bed. Some may say this is naughty but I have found it to be simply wonderful. There is nothing better than cuddling you all night long. You love to nuzzle your little face right into my neck.
*You LOVE to be held. Always. Grandpa jokes around and will say, "do you ever put her down?" or "don't you get sick of holding her?" My answer is always no. I could hold you all day long and never get sick of it. I think I love holding you just as much as you love being held.
*Olivia is such a sweet big sister. And is always watching out for you. She loves to hold you and shower you with wet little kisses all over your chubby cheeks. She loves to help out and hold your legs while I change your diaper. You have the best big sister ever. And I have the two cutest girls ever:)
*You love your binky. And will still take a bottle of my milk as long as anyone else besides me gives it to you.
*You seem to have brown hair and olive skin like me. Your eyes change daily. Sometimes looking brown and sometimes looking dark blue. I guess we'll wait to see what color they are!
*You have started cooing and making little sounds. You started off mostly doing it to daddy but luckily decided to include me in on the cuteness.
*You still let out very loud screams before you sneeze. It's quite dramatic, but we laugh every time.
*You are much chubbier than your sister was. With rolls literally all over your entire body. Sometimes I just have to squish you it's so cute.
*You have big round eyes that seem so alert now. You are so good at lifting that little head of yours and turning it from side to side while looking at things. Oh and your little forehead lines are simply to die for when you are focusing on something.
*You hate having your finger nails and toenails clipped. Which is really unfortunate because they grow like weeds!

Clara you are such a good baby. You rarely cry and are just content being carried around everywhere I go. I seriously can not get enough of you. I thank our Heavenly Father every day for allowing me to be you and your sister's mother. We are blessed indeed.

Take 2.

So blessed to be a mom to these two perfect girls.

Someone got a little bored sitting in her stroller while mom and grandma shopped for some new shoes for Winston.

Olivia loved playing with Winston's friend Grant.
(He is the one with the shirt over his nose because someone farted.)

She thought she was the coolest when the twin let her wear their neon green headband.

Winston and baby Ta.

Olivia sitting on the tramp cheering us all on while we play a nice game of backyard volleyball.

We bought a pair of matching sweatpants while up at City Creek and thought it would be fun to match like we used to when we were little.

Chillin in her sunglasses and singing some Taylor Swift.

Cute Clara chillin in the car listening to her cute sister sing her little lungs out.

One thing on my bucket list to do while in Utah was to eat dinner at the famous Waffle Love truck.
One Friday night we decided to follow it all the way down to the Riverwoods in Provo.
They were decent waffles but I think I got my fix for a long while.

Little Clara is my laundry buddy.

Uncle Stephen was in Jerusalem when Clara was born.
This is his first time meeting her.

Uncle Math and Olivia doing the funny ugly face.

Uncle Phe Phe brought back a cute little camel for Olivia.
She loves it!

Love those chubby cheeks!

It doesn't get cuter than my Clara.

We are seriously loving life right now.
Except the fact that daddy isn't with us.
Just two more weeks!!

Take 1.

My girls.

Clara already loves her uncle Winston and always snuggles right up to him and falls asleep.

Olivia is warming up pretty fast too. Winston has already found that the way to her heart is through otterpops!
One way we distract her in the car is by giving her pretty lipgloss to put all over her lips...and face:)

We went to City Creek one morning with my aunts Annabelle and Tiffany, Sophia, Winston, and my mom. It was Winston and I's first time going there. We had lunch at Kneaders and literally shopped till we dropped! Soph and I found ourselves a nice pair of leather leggings. I can hardly wait until it cools down so I can wear them.

I know in a post last year I talked about how Taco Amigo has without a doubt the best fresh strawberry shakes ever and I still think that. But if you love peaches their fresh peach shake is every bit as good.

My beautiful baby.
She has her mommy's big eyes!

Silly faces in the car.

Winston watching his first movie since being home.
Clara slept on him for hours.

One of my favorite things about summer is eating outside on my parent's porch.
I think Olivia loves it almost as much as I do!

There's my cute girl.

Snuggling with grandma.

We think Clara looks a lot like my dad.
Which obviously means she looks like me they just have one special thing in common that luckily I don't have to worry about at this stage in my life and that is that they are both bald:)

We've been trying to keep Olivia busy with all sorts of activities that don't involve her running around. Playing with play dough is definitely a favorite!

Take 2 coming soon.
I seriously have a butt load of pictures.
