Our early anniversary and a few other things...

Since we have been so excited for Eclipse to come out we decided to go see the 3:00 am showing on opening night since the midnight was already sold out. I don't think I would recommend this especially if your pregnant. I also made the mistake of drinking a little bit of caffeine which kept baby Olivia pretty much bouncing off the walls for the rest of the day. I think it was a bit of a warning of what kind of child we are about to have:) Just like her dad! Anyway, we both loved it...Michael more than me:) We actually ended up seeing it again that weekend with my parents!

5 1/2 months pregnant!
It seems like time is going by SO slow yet I can't believe that I only have 3 1/2 months left! I can't say that I have enjoyed being pregnant..in fact I have hated it. I just have to keep thinking of our precious little girl who I'm sure will make up for it! Since I have been feeling a little bit better..as long as I get plenty of sleep and food, I have experienced a couple other interesting symptoms. One being that I have to pee all the time...I am embarrassed to admit that I have had a couple accidents thanks to random sneezes. I usually wouldn't share this but since this is kind of like my journal, I better. Second, I get quite strong pains in my upper legs. Sometimes so painful it almost makes me collapse. Apparently it happens when she sits on that particular nerve.

So, my boy and I decided that for our anniversary we would pick a hotel in either SLC or Park City and spend a relaxing night in the hotel. Well our real anniversary isn't until August 14th but I wanted to do it early so that I wasn't so uncomfortably big and hot. So we picked the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake. When we pulled in we were a little shocked to be greeted by two men asking us if we wanted them to park our car and carry our luggage in. The hotels we are used to staying in don't usually have people outside anxiously waiting to help you haha. Well we ended up parking our car and carrying in our luggage ourselves since it was 5 dollars cheaper. Our room was beautiful, especially the bathroom!

My boy surprised me with this beautiful bouquet of daisies!

Since neither of us have ever tried in room dining, one of the first things we did was order a little snack. I couldn't really handle how nice the tray looked with the real rose and water glasses that we didn't even order! We did it again a little later that night for dessert! It was so fun to have someone bring you your food and then just be able to eat it in bed!

When we walked into our room there were 6 cute little chocolate dipped strawberries!

One of the things we were most excited about (especially Michael) was the food. We probably read through the menu at least 20 times.

Later that evening, we walked around getting a bit lost trying to find the indoor pool. When we finally found it we were told that it would cost $10 a day to swim in it haha. Well that didn't really stop us. Luckily we were the only ones in the indoor pool so we had a blast! I wasn't a fan of the pool because it was a little too cold but I loved sticking my feet in the hot tub!

It was a much needed relaxing, romantic little getaway for us! I can't believe it has almost been a year since we were married. Crazy!

The past few weeks we have been able to go to the driving range a few times so that Michael can hit a bucket of balls. I usually just sit behind him and watch him and all the others hit their balls. He has been improving quite a bit so we are excited to see how he does during an actual game this week!

Last but definitely not least...we bought our baby girl a crib! This is what it looks like. I LOVE it! I have had so much fun picking out stuff for her, although I can't say that Michael feels quite the same:) I just can hardly wait for her to get here!

Baby Shower!

My gorgeous cousin in law Adriana and I were able to have a joint baby shower. It was perfect. I think we are both so lucky to be having little girls. Well Adriana already had hers last week. Her name is Samantha Claire and she is beautiful! We got so many cute things. A lot of them the same! Which means our little girls have several matching outfits. I think that is cute since I am sure they will be close friends.

I took a bunch of pictures of everything..Enjoy!

Adriana and me

The whole food set up. It was so stunning you almost didn't want to eat any of it!

The most AMAZING daisy cookies. Not only are they adorable looking but they taste SO good.

More food

Cute little cupcakes...they had a rough trip up to the shower because of the heat. But they still look quite cute.

I like these

So there was a clothesline that went across the kitchen that had little baby clothes, rattles, and our baby's names hanging from it. I am so mad I didn't get a picture of the whole thing. It was so cute.

These cute outfits were given to us by my mom

My cousin and Adriana's sister in law Melanie gave us these cute little cream shoes

Aunt Susie gave us both these pillows which will be so nice! They have a strap attached so we can strap our baby into it as well. She also gave us the book..Brown bear brown bear what do you see.

Aunt Stephanie gave us these adorable dresses and a couple other ones

Baby Olivia needs to hurry up and get here. I can't wait to put her in all those cute things!

5 Months!

I can't believe it has already been 5 months, yet I can't believe there are still 4 months ahead.
I can't say that I have enjoyed being pregnant so much.
But I am sure when we see our beautiful little girl it will all be worth it!
I just started getting a little pooch haha...it is a little weird.
At least it is sort of cute right now...we'll see how long that lasts:)

Happy Father's Day!

I would like to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the fathers in my life but most importantly to these 3 men: my dad, my father in law, and my husband. There are so many things that I love about each of them and I consider it an incredible blessing to be surrounded by such amazing men.
Happy Father's Day Dad!
I don't know where I would be without my dad.
He has taught me so many valuable lessons that have helped make me who I am today. There are so many things I could say about my dad that I love but here are just a few...
I love:
*How he taught me and still teaches me the importance of constantly trying to become a better person. I know at times I felt like I was being lectured all the time but I know it is only because he cares so much and that means the world to me.
*His sense of humor. I can't help but laugh at all the weird things he does.
*His willingness to put others before himself. He is always concerned about how other people are feeling. I have never seen him put himself before anyone else.
*My dad truly is one of the most amazing people I have ever met, and I don't just say that because he is my dad, I am just lucky that he is!

Happy Father's Day Antone!
Just in the short amount of time I have spent with him (sad he lives in Washington) I have developed a deep love and respect for him.
Antone is the type of person that you could sit down and talk with about ANYTHING. He never makes you feel stupid and always gives good advice.
He is incredibly smart. There is so much to learn from him.
He is the type of person that you feel safe with. You know he will always be there no matter
I am so blessed to have a father in law like him.

Last but definitely not least is my boy.
I can't even imagine our little girl's excitement to come down and have a dad like him.
I think sometimes our kids might get a bit confused as to whether or not he is their dad or one of them!
Michael is the funniest, most playful person I have ever met. I spend most of my time either laughing or shaking my head at him. I know our kids our going to love this side of him.
I know our kids are going to learn so much from him. He is so smart and so insightful and so easy to talk to.
There is so much to say about my boy and so many qualities he has that are going to make him the best dad.
I am so glad that he let me pick him to be my husband and father to our kids.
Happy Father's Day love!

Washington and a few other things!

I have quite a bit to catch up on since it has been a while since my last post. We just got back from spending an amazing 10 days up in Yakima, Washington with the Mickelsons! It was so fun to be able to relax and escape from everything...needless to say we both are a little bummed to be back.
First of all...

Happy Birthday to my Dad!
On June 2, we were able to celebrate my dad's birthday since we would be leaving to Washington the following day...his REAL birthday! I am so lucky to have such an amazing dad. I really couldn't ask for a better one!

This next picture is mostly for Kelly. But this is a picture of the nightgowns I plan on making for our baby! Aren't they adorable?

Here is another tummy picture...at 20 1/2 weeks! Just in the past week my stomach has started to pop out even more. Not too much..but it is still weird! I can feel her move around all the time now! She is getting so strong. Every once in a while she will throw quite the punch or kick:) I think she thinks it's funny to kick around down low because it makes me have to go to the bathroom haha!

Michael's parents bought us this gift for our baby...I LOVE IT!! It is so perfect and I can't wait to see her in it! Thanks guys!

Here is another picture. I really can't handle how much I love it!

Rachel wanted to make a blanket for the baby while we were there and she let me help. Rachel is so creative! We kind of struggled with the corners at first because of me..but thanks to her it turned out perfectly.

Kelly has some friends that are absolutely amazing at making little baby clips and headbands. We were able to get together with them and learn how to make them. Seriously I am addicted. I plan on making a clip or headband to match every one her outfits haha. It is so fun and so cheap! This is a little daisy clip that I will have to clip onto a headband for her since most likely she will be bald for a while.

I also learned to tie these bows to put on clips. Seriously I can't get enough of it!

We were able to go on a little hike. It was my first time really getting out since I have been off the bed rest. It was so fun to walk around even though it was quite hot. I thought I was doing so good and was quite impressed with myself until we got home and I crashed for pretty much the rest of the day. I am not a big water drinker so I think I just got a bit dehydrated. It was still a blast and Michael and I hope to get out a lot this summer!

My boy and me

We had a perfect 10 days shopping for baby clothes, baby hair things, eating snow cones and amazing food, visiting parks and seeing turtles, playing skipbo, watching Matthew make some great shots at a basketball game, golfing, watching movies and so much more. It was so fun to see the family and spend time together!

Baby girl, golf, and other things...

*First of all... Happy 19 weeks to our baby girl! We're almost to the halfway mark or maybe we are already halfway through! I am pretty sure I can feel her move now. Sometimes I get the pokes or the popcorn popping sensation. It is so adorable!

* Secondly, since we have moved in to our new ward, Michael has had the opportunity to golf in a tournament with some men in our ward. I can not even begin to describe to you his excitement about this. He had his outfit picked out several days before and was practicing his swing and putts in the family room constantly! Sadly, when the day of the tournament came a long the weather was terrible. They still played about half of the holes but Michael didn't feel like he did too well. Luckily, they decided to postpone it and play another 9 holes yesterday! Well my boy did absolutely AmAzInG! He scored a 39 and pulled off a perfect birdie shot! He was quite pleased with himself and still is which might be the reason why he can't stop talking about it!

*Thirdly, I am so excited that the new season of the bachelorette has started. I know I am crazy for getting into it but I just love the drama of it!

* Fourthly, Michael is way into the NBA playoffs this year. Go Celtics!

* Fifthly, I am not sure if being pregnant has cause some weird fears or not. I sure hope so because I am embarrassed to admit that I get scared at nights...so much so that we can't sleep with the window open and our bedroom door has to be locked. One night I woke up so scared we slept with a reading lamp on for the rest of the night.

* Sixthly, I am still awaiting some nice hot weather so I can spend more time outside.

* Seventhly, on June 3 we will driving up to Yakima to spend a week with the Mickelsons! We are both so excited!

* Eighthly, I can't think of anything else to write about for now, but we'll keep you updated on anything exciting that happens!

He caught this little garden snake in the back yard...

Fun!!

Cute Michael spent some time on Saturday playing basketball with all the little kids! I was quite impressed with him and his efforts to play nicely rather than teasing and tormenting all of them:)

I still don't really have a tummy yet. But it is just barely starting to get a little bigger. So here is a picture of me at 17 weeks!

Fun getting ready for baby Olivia!!
Right after we found out we were having a little girl we immediately went over to my mom's house and started going through all of her baby clothes. Here is one of the darling dresses we found!
I absolutely LOVE baby booties! Here are 2 pairs my mom picked up in London for the baby before we knew she was a girl!
And 2 more!!
So my best friend's sweet mom already has made Olivia this adorable blanket and burp cloths. She said that she always thought it would be a girl:)
I could resist going fabric shopping myself so that I could start making her a blanket and matching nightgown. I LOVE this fabric.

I can't believe we still have 5 months until we get to meet her. Hopefully it goes by fast!

We have now moved in with my Grandparents and are loving it! There is a lot more room and we don't have to share it with mice and ants:) Michael will be playing in a golf tournament on Tuesday with some men in our new ward. He is really excited! Other than that we are just flopping around enjoying the good weather... Michael dreaming about golf and football and me dreaming about all the cute things I can make and buy for our baby girl!
